P.S. I was also very pleased with my EP, Dr. Sergio Pinski, Cleveland Clinic Florida, in Weston a suburb of Miami. He did an excellent job, spent over 7 1/2 hours, and has followed up tremendously, even calling me on his cell phone during the holidays, and giving me his cell phone number in case I needed him when the office was closed. When his office opened he again followed up by phone, sincby Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey there. I too had an over ride pacemaker and it did not work for me either. Actually because I had so much AFib it was constantly trying to over ride and put me into heart failure. i had to be on oxygen constantly. they did shut off the over ride and i made a marked improvement with the heart failure. The Ablation done on the 19th should take care of the afib and flutter. My Dr., Clevelanby Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM
Glenn: Where do you live? CCF has the country pretty well covered with Cleveland, Marin County California and the new center in Florida (Miami?). Just scroll back to 12/22 and read Bob G on "Just got back 12/22 from PV ablation". He tells of a wonderful story of his ablation there with a Dr. Pinski. He reports little or no arrhythmias so far. Perhaps he will read this and update uby Pam - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for your note Elaine. The Cleveland Clinic is in South Florida. I live in Central Florida and believe me, it is worth the trip. I have had many problems with this for so many years, and am so happy to have found an answer that will indeed change my life. The happiness I have is not only from this Dr and proceedure, that's only the icing on the cake so to speak, but my walk in faithby Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM
Bob I spend my winters in Florida and would like to see an EP for a second opinion of the treatment I'm getting. Please, can you tell me where this clinic is. Would Dr Pinski see me if I'm not yet ready for ablation? Your post exudes happiness from every word. It's so uplifting as your happiness is contagious. I'm sure your attitude alone will keep you well. Thank you for thby Elaine - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hey guys! I made it...with flying colors. Just got home from Florida's cleveland Clinic. had My TEE and Ablation on Friday. Was scared for no reason. I thank God for bringing me safely through, and for having a great Dr. in Dr. Pinski. Had my TEE at 8:00 am on the 19th, and that was a breeze. Then went right into the Ablation. It took just over 7 hours for the ablation. Seems that aby Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM
Have not had my ablation yet...this Friday the 19th. Mine will be done in Florida at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston(Miami). The reasons i have decided to go that route even though I am little apprehensive is i am tired of living like this. I was in my early 30's when I first had Ventricular arrythmias, and am now 63. All through the years i have had problems but not as bad as the last 8-1by Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM

Today I received my Insurance approval for my PVI at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston(Miami) Florida. Dr. Sergio Pinski, who was with the Clinic in Ohio will be doing the proceedure. I am hopeful that the results will be as good as some of you have had. I am currently on Tikosyn as my anti-arrythmic, and I think I will have to stop that before the proceedure, will be stopping coumadin and takingby Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi all, Just recently found this BB and was happy to realize that i am not alone. Jackie thanks for your encouragements to me. I keep reading all this stuff, pro and con, and it sure does get confusing. I am scheduled for the Cleveland Clinic in Florida, Weston, near Miami, Dr. Sergio Pinski, for my ablation on 12/19. I keep wavering back and forth. When i have fib which is frequently, I sayby Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am very interested in this problem since I have been an A Fibber for about 8 years. I am currently on Tikosyn, have tried many of the other meds, all except for Amioderone, and they all either did not work, or worked for only a year or so. I had an AV node ablation in 1998 after having a pacemaker put in. In 2002 they implanted a new pacemaker, one that has an over ride, Just for AFib. Theby Bob G - AFIBBERS FORUM
