So for the past 45 days I’ve been experiencing a lot of weird rhythms. I have noticed shortness of breath , lightheaded ectopic etc. wore the 14 day zio monitor. Seems now I’m having occasional slow Rythym. And today HR 71 with pacs. I was surprised when the doc said you are in a slow atrial Rythym???? So he thinks my atrium is beating off my secondary pacer in the node!! He feels from Scar thatby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I did have a blood test and as usual my minerals were all good! In my 20 years now of tachy, ectopics, afib I have never had a low or bad reading on thyroid function or minerals etc...... The numbers are always good even testing during events. So to me it's not an indicator. I think if you have a bad mineral level on a blood test you must so low (or high) that you are way out-a whack!by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks George. I think tomorrow I'm trying a leftover potassium Er tablet from my last ablation. I need a break.by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
So for whatever reason I am on day 44 of weird ectopics, pac's, few pvc's, weird patterns etc. Last summer I felt so well I considered to start running.....not now... So I do magnesium in the morning about 400 mg and I supplement with a little potassium 175 mg. Since the beginning of all this I still hear my EP who when this all started said DONT OVER DO ANY SUPPLEMENTS. Even now somby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Beach bill, great story, sounds like you have managed. Ablations have progressed just make sure to have someone with the most experience. Wish you great luck with your decision! Timby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
How many here would move to London to participate and end this crazy beast of a disease (raising my hand) lolby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dgolden, You can drive yourself crazy trying to figure out triggers etc. try to eat healthy, stop caffeine but above all try to minimize stress in all forms. 80 hour weeks catches up to most. Ablations are not bad, I understand they are scary, I've had several. The procedure is not physically bad it's the mental side because someone's going in your heart and that scares the you kby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I don't understand if Magnesium and other mineral control is so important to us with this disease why isn't the medical community responding. Why am I not offered IV minerals etc and why do they not monitor us at a cellular level? My doctor doesn't offer intracellular testing. Why do we have to buy tubs of magnesium and pot shot at the one that's works most effectively in ouby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Bileswil, Welcome, sorry for your recent incident. I can relate unfortunately mine started a lot earlier in age. I'll try and help with my thoughts 1. If you get in in a month you are doing great. Go to an EP that has some experience!! And do not do an ablation unless it is a proven EP with bunches of cases! 2. Don't know much about Cartia. Eliquis will not cause Pvcs. I will sayby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Carey, Yes the concept is pretty awesome just seems scary putting something where it isn't easily retrievable!! Timby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'll never forget ablation # 3 or 4 my doc walked in and said " you may be a candidate for a pacemaker". Back then I had a lot of tachy on the right side and knew he had scared himself burning maybe too close to the sinus. Well I recovered from that one back 15 years or so ago. Fast forward to 2018 an additional 3 ablations later with tachy that morphed into afib (paroxysmal). Obviby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Llona, I would just coast into the ablation. Remember anything ugly you want to rear its head during the ablation. I'd be careful not to bulk up on supplements etc. that might "calm" the little monster before hand. Just a lot of positive thinking!!!!by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ok. I thought each small box was .2 seconds making each big one 1 second? That's a good thing. Thanks for your helpby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
I appreciate the help Carey. Looks like about 4-1/2 to 5 between the end of a T wave to the beginning next P wave (when I have a P wave). That's the longest. Most are about 4by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
My bp is ok and I am seeing some long pauses here and there.by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
So I'm on week three now of weird stuff. I believe it was PACs at the beginning and possibly some other junctional or branch block. My symptoms along with palpitations during any exertion (as discussed in recent posts), include a lightheadedness and pressure in head (quickly). I have noticed when I wake up my pulse is low 49. After some dizziness it recovers to 70s. So at times... sometiby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes I have. Flecainide is def the med of choice for most EPs as it is effective with afib and all that is associated with it. Honestly I have used it successfully with toprol. Currently I take 50 mg flec at night 12.5 toprol in am. If I increase the flec dose AT ALL I experience left bundle block with a chest pain at onset. I have also experienced junction Rythym that I feel. The drug is dangeroby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Newyorker, man I’m telling you I had the same or very similar experience. A couple years ago my work ordered me to japan at the time my episodes had become frequent. I didn’t know what to do. Just the stress of deciding made me miserable. I had no options but to go. The terrible plane ride then a three hour train ride, no sleep I was at the end of the rope went in and out of episodes but theyby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Wolfpack, it is crazy I’ve be n doing this for about you p days now. Your post makes me feel better and yes the out of breath thing I get that!! Of course my worry is my exertion is minimal like walking, sweeping floor, going to the mailbox........:hopefully it will passby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Sean G, sorry about your troubles. I'm similar in that I was always very athletic. Still active but not athletic. I shy away from aerobic activity that gets my rate up. Man if it were me I would try and do everything with diet and health possible. Only time will tell. If it gets to be too much another ablation may be the quickest and God willing best route.by tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Catherine.......can I hire you? Lol that's awesomeby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi friends, Just wondering about your experiences and knowledge of ectopics. I began having ectopics while in Florida a couple weeks ago. Shannon as always helped me through with his input and his experience and knowledge of my case. It looked on my Kardia like I was having pac's. There is nothing like a friend who has experienced this stuff but with the knowledge of a doc. Well withinby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Newyorker, I'm recently having more problems for some reason. Natale is the best he did what I consider an index ablation on my afib and I prob see another in my future. Had a local Ep do the first left side ablation and Natale found everything reconnected. That was the Ep that did all four of my right atrium ablations early on when I had svt. Flecainide is very effective also very problemaby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
newyorker, I'm sorry about your troubles, Ive been there in the same spot several times. Id say just the anticipation of your ablation coming up etc prob has you a bit worried. My episodes were increasing to about ev other day before my last ablation 19 months ago. Keep in your mind that if you are having problems it is the best thing possible for your upcoming cure with NAtale. I know tby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Catherine, George had an interesting point on blood sugar. Seems like it would just possibly be an effect tho if you were really low and then ate a bunch of fruit. .?? I know all the pesticide stuff really is bad for all of us but it seems like that would be more wide spread like why does it affect me or you and not my brothers, friends, co-workers etc.? Idk it seems this diet thing could beby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Catherine, I can't imagine why berries would cause a problem. I know that some times spicy foods for me are an issue. One thing that gets me is I fight the mind sometimes. For example if I had an episode eating a strawberry and connect the two you can almost bet when I eat another strawberry my mind goes there. It's crazy. Let me know if you find out anything Timby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Lol thanks Shannon I think I understand. I'm like you tho .....it is possible to find me deep in some remote area for whatever reason. This is all good information. appreciatedby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, our history and experiences sound very similar. Timby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tibbar, Glad you are doing well, so if your battery dies it isn't as "Final" as mentioned above? You have time to replace it and continue living Timby tsco - AFIBBERS FORUM
