Side effects of Eliquis since 2015; none except easy bruising and skin does tear easy.by smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
I could never look at AFIB like that. I HATED being in AFIB. Once I went into AFIB, I could only be converted by the Paddles. I was go into Persistent AFIB every time with a Heart Rate at times above 180 never less than 150 with spikes above 220 bpm. I was always Hospitalized due to high Heart Rate. After 2 Ablations with Dr. Natale, I have been AFIB FREE since June 2016. I took a stress test arby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
I use Silverscripts which means I have Medicare Part D but I need Part D for my other medications. Are you a Senior Citizen? If you are, How do you purchase prescription drugs? I go between a Silverscripts and GoodRx. GoodRx beats Silverscripts price on certain drugs but not Eliquis. Eliquis puts me in the Donut Hole Quickly and Silverscripts has a $285 deductible on Tier 3 Drugs and above.by smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotesusan.d Thanks smackman. His PA and Natale speculates the added sodium that raised my BP could had triggered the AF...not the tiny (2” round) peach. I was so used to (2004 to ablation) worrying if I ate a carb or ate a peach that I would go into AF. I obsessed for 16 years. You are in California right? I just went to a Hospital in North Louisiana for s Nuclear Stress Test. I had to enter through the ER. My Wife was not allowed but we knew this ahead of time. I was there approximately 4 hours total. My only requirement was to wear a mask and answer around 10 yes and no questions concerning Covid 19. No Covid 19 test. There was 5 of us in a room taking this Test socby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie, Did you just stop the Eliquis for the Procedure or did you use Dr. Natales protocol which I think involves Heparin? Just wondering because I could be facing a “situation” after my nuclear stress test next week. So glad to hear you are doing greatby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
I just had a Echo Cardiogram ran. The Cardiologist said it was “borderline” low; 45-50%. In Dec. 2016, I had a TEE ran at Austin and it showed Ejection Fraction at 55-60%. How accurate is the Echo compared to a TEE? I will be doing a chemical stress test next week because of my back disability. I have been feeling SOB but I have been under a lot of tension, stress from tapering off Klonopin fby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
The only supplements we are currently taking is Magnesium. Wife is doing really good and she has a appointment with a Cardiologist this week. We do not feel that taking a Mountain of supplements is necessary. So many are taking extreme doses of supplements like Vitamin D3 hoping it helps against Covid 19. That’s our decision for now unless told different by a reputable Physician.by smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotecirenepurzalot Well they responded: "the protocol for coronary sinus isolation is the same as the LAA isolation because isolation of the coronary sinus can affect the function of the LAA." So it appears I need a TEE. I didn't know this. Bummer! On my second Ablation by Dr. Natale, My LAA was isolated. I had to stay a Eliquis for 6 months then We drove 9 hours back to Austinby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteJackie Hi Smackman... Is she also taking the K2 MK7 to help manage the circulating serum calcium that is associated with increased Vit. D intake? That's essential and many (physicians included) who recommend increasing Vit D when levels are low fail to recommend the MK7. Jackie No; All she was prescribed was 50000 II D3 once a week for 12 weeks. IMO most layman would not know wby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
My Question is, Will these palpitations pass with time or has this excessive intake of D3 prescribed by her gynecologist after a yearly physical caused my wife permanent palpitations? Should she stay out of the sun? She started this medication in early Jan. What else can she do besides increasing magnesium intake ? Once again Thanks a million for all the help. It has her Anxiety raised some andby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wife has Apple Watch. It does not show that it’s AFIB. She also takes approximately 400 mg of Magnesium Glycinate a day. That is all she can tolerate. Also she has the Apple Watch Heart notification to look for AFIB and nothing has ever showed AFIB. She is already close to 20000 a day. Earlier, it was every 3 beats. My wife started having Heart Palpitations. Approximately 10 a minute. The only thing she has done different Is take high doses of Vitamin D3; 50,000 uid once a week for 12 weeks. Her D3 was 18 at the beginning. I think 30 is the low acceptable number for a woman I have read we’re excessive high amounts of Vitamin D3 can cause Heart Palpitations. Awesome pictures Carey. As a former Process Engineer in Refinery and Chemical plants, I have seen a lot of changes since 1977. Dr. Natale is 1st class personally and his procedure/ operating room shows the same. I will always remember these words of wisdom from Shannon to my Wife and I in late 2013; Do you want a EP who does Ablations maybe 3X a month or the Former Head of the cardiac Clinic inby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
You will be pleased with this experience. Their professionalism is above measure and the Hospital food is not bad. The most overwhelming moment for me was when I was wheeled into the procedure room. It is wall to wall of high tech equipment. I am a EE by trade and have seen a lot of high tech equipment in Process plants. Dr. Natale is top notch in everything he does IMO. QuoteCarey I'm not sure what to tell you other than Mayo needs to be talking to Natale. You might want to be a bit more forceful about that. This is exactly what I talked about concerning a colonoscopy. It is not easy as some say to get Hospital’s onboard with Dr. Natale protocol. If the Mayo Clinic is not onboard or does not understand then this speaks volumes of a major disconnect. I praby smackman - AFIBBERS FORUM
The Flu is more of a worry than the hyped up corona virus that the media is blowing up for political purposes. Look at how many have died this season in the USA from the flu! Some do not have on and off episodes of AFIB. I am one of them. The first diagnosis I had was Persistent AFIB. To the best of my recollection, I never had a AFIB episode where I popped back into NSR without a ECV. I know I am not the only case like this. My Daddy never popped in and out of AFIB. After my 2nd Ablation, I left Austin taking ZERO AAD,s. I was on Sotalol but Dr. Natale just kept me on 25 mg Metoprolol ER 1x a day.
