I listen to responses. If u said that because you have a disagreement with anything said please mention it, but if you prefer I not repeat it for other reasons, my ears are open. I am here to pass on my experience and knowledge to hopefully help members with AF.by Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
To Anti-F Thank you for being the first to respond to my topic. I am surprised that no one else has responded which make me think there is apathy believing that AF can only be treated with conventional therapies. I should mention I support conventional therapies especially for individuals with AF who experience serious or life threatening symptoms of AF. I am a representative of traditional meby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
In my earlier blog on oral Mg I mentioned I have been fortunate converting my long-standing persistent AF (2 years duration) to SR with my low risk, low cost protocol for almost 18 months.. As I described previously the protocol involves careful titration of a well absorbed, fast acting, oral Mg that maintains stable blood Mg levels needed for up to 20 weeks to convert to SR. The protocol emphasiby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi George Here is my literature validation for my own observations that when I have attenuated HRV (short msec intervals between successive heart beats) no AF occurred and when I have unattenuated HRV (wide variations between each consecutive heart beat )i it correlates with AF occurrence. See attachment for photos. After reviewing the medical literature, I discovered three articles consiby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
George first yes to the EKG daily self monitoring (3-4 times for 30 sec each- only 2 minutes a day), and substitutes for Holter but obviously not 24/7. The other self monitoring I look at is the end of the week reporting of AF on the iPhone which reads less than 2% AF. That; is because it can not detect every heartbeat. Being a little OCD I also do Kardia or Apple phone depending which is avaiby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Susan Your response about the amount of Mg you were advised to take reminded me of an important issue about Mg supplements.. Let’s assume your doctor advised you to take 500mg of Mg.. Hopefully he mentioned a preference since inorganic supplements are poorly absorbed like Mg oxide, Mg hydroxides sulfate but great laxatives.Mg chloride is the exception. But instead your physician did specifyby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Susan I know the test and it has been available only for research but I wish it was available for NMg intracellular heart cells. It would motivate academia to start considering the need to implement Mg but with supplements that are well absorbed. I assume you have AF . What was your result ? Thxby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gerge N Thak you for your quick response. Apparently, you are noticing benefits with Mg and K but it took only 1-2 days off of Mg to resume AF. I believe that is possible because if you do convert to SR, AF is lurking ready to take over because of the energy concepts I described. Even though it took me 6 weeks to get to SR, there was one day when I reduced my daily dose and the next day AF retby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi fellow members of this forum. I am a physician with a history of AF. I am not a cardiologist but instead a specialist in clinical immunology. Some of you may have heard my story so bear with me. I am a scientist as well as a physician and I mention this as you will understand further on. Back in March 2023 I kept receiving messages on my Apple Watch that I was experiencing AF. Prior to thaby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
For anyone interested I don’t believe I can mention the name of my book on AF but if you are interested reading about my success and being a resource on AF and Mg , my book on AF has a cover with a physician holding binoculars.by Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
I tried but I had to describe myself . In any event I believe in science so to paraphrase the title in an editorial in a cardiac .journal titled’ Magnesium for Atrial Fibrillation : Magic or Myth?’ mine is neither, it is reality and being a physician scientist I’m frustrated because unless I am a unicorn ,I have discovered a potential low risk intervention for at least my type of AF. Hi like you I started with asymptomatic AF but mine continued for nearly 2 years making it classified as persistent. I ignored the periodic episodes that occurred when my Apple watch signaled that I had it. I am a physician, and some physicians are notorious about ignoring or denying their medical problems as I did. I had the full cardiac workup and was started on Eliquis because of my age and otby Hugging - AFIBBERS FORUM
