Aug 21, 2012 I had a PVI and Flutter Ablation here in Charlotte NC by Warren Holshouser of the Sanger Clinic. I had afib/flutter for 7 years and finally waved the white flag. My afib by number of episodes was not too bad....3 or 4 a year...but! about every year I had to get cardioverted as the episode went 24 to 36 hrs and I went in to the cath lab. yeah Tom I am sober this mornng......I was 3 months of nothing and 6 months of one short one........I have been drinking alcohol though, everynight a little......I guess I will now try my pre ablation strictness and see what happens....but yes 2 ablations are probably more the norm anyway.........hang in there maybe we'll get better Tomby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM

Chuck my EP took me off Warfarin at the 7 week mark I take nothing now although I have in the cabinet propafanone, metropolol and vallium.........I really thought I was "cured" but obvoiusly not, still lurking so I guess I need to get back to my pre ablation routine of 4 to 1 K/Na, hydration and nbo triggers....hey glad you are clicking along well! I am 11 months post ablation for Afib and Flutter.......have had 2 to 4 min episodes at 3 weeks, 14 weeks, 16 weeks, 8 months and now one last nite (at 11 months) at 7 PM and one this morning at 7 AM........will admit that I have been careless and have taken some "risks" - alcohol, chocolate etc albiet small amounts....last nite I was more than 3 months of nothing and wife fixed very spby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM

thanks for posting,yep I just saw the story on ABC News while riding the bike at the gym.........I will always believe that my taking the antibiotic Levaquin caused my afib in 2005.....I had a horrible reaction and for sure was depleted on K and Mag To Pby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM

OK update on Viagra, I have now found that just a small peice works great! 1/8 or even less......I like it and makes total sense that may be good for vagal which I was (am)....little higher HR and lower BP..........Tby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
As most of you know I was ablated last 8/21, so far so good! no afib.......recently I asked my MD (a female) to try a little Viagra, honestly I do not have to have it but thought a little might be "fun"......she gave me the script.....got to the pharmacy....103 bucks for three tabs! I was on no monitor following my ablation, did take PPI's for 3 weeks (esophagus).........warfarin for 7 weeks.......I still have metropolol and take 1/2 a 25 mg p/day justbto do it as my BP trends higher some.........T PS the worst part of my post abaltion was the sore wrist from the arterial BP line ! damn that hurtby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tomorrow will mark exactly 6 months since my 8-21-12 PVI/Flutter Ablation by Warren Holshouser (Sanger Heart & Vascular, Charlotte NC). Total Afib Episodes - ZERO (0) Episodes (tachycardia type) - 3 (at weeks 4, 15 and 16) all lasted 2 to 5 mins) the last 2 both following red wine consumption I would grade my outcome so far an A-, honestly I have never felt better, I am 59.
