I am awaiting a touch up ablation and my symptoms are rapidly deteriorating. Now it’s becoming daily afib minimum 2 hours and currently 4 and counting. About to be forced out on medical leave until I get my ablation as I can’t predict episodes and when they happen can’t talk breathe well or drive. I usually revert at home with an extra diltiazem in a couple of hours. Hospital is generally the same- always reverted with medicine thus far.by Dinodog - AFIBBERS FORUM

I’m new here and very thankful for the info and support on this forum. 45 years old developed afib 3 months after last baby whom I developed preeclampsia with. So I’ve had it for about 2 years. No other cardiac issues, slightly high bp and on eliquis. I had ablation in January with one of Natale’s protégés. We though it worked until month 5 when the roof fell in. Very interesting topic as I’ve been wondering the same lately. I’ve always been anxious, but never had panic attacks or anything close to it. This summer when my first ablation failed (after only 5 months) I began having panic attacks. My episodes were very uncomfortable with a high rate. Hi Beardman- I'm sorry you have to deal with this and understand it all too well. I just turned 45 so now how it is to get this diagnosis and feel like your life is in flux to say the least. Take the time to do some more reading, and I think you will likely conclude that an ablation is the way to go.
