Nothing new to report from here these days. NSR is wonderful but not very exciting or controversial worth writing about. I am fighting to keep from falling back into old habits that most likely lead me here. I've been doing good keeping things in check on the bike. However, I have started running with my son a few days a week and have been letting my heart rate get higher than I normallyby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
What's a good liquid or highly absorbable multivitamin you might suggest. Not so much for myself or my son but my wife mostly because she has trouble absorbing vitamins.by rocketritch - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
You wont regret going to Natale. Just keep in mind that it may not be a one and done situation. Though he is most likely your best shot at that scenario. So far as how you get there I always thought that it could make for a wonderful road trip. There is lots to see between here and there for me traveling from PA. We flew to Austin last October for my last visit without issue.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Haven't posted in a while. no news is good news as they say and that's right where I am right now. I still get the occasional ectopic but beyond that nothing but NSR.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I would love to get the watchman. However, last I spoke with Dr. Natale I was not eligible under current criteria. I only have 1 point and believe I need 3 for insurance.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteGeorgeN GeorgeN, you mention that many fellowship programs do not train EP's to isolate the LAA. Do you think that is because of what my EP said about differing EP opinions in the community because of the risks? I'm not connected enough to give an opinion. Someone like our moderator Shannon could give a better answer to that. I base this comment during a conversation I haby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Following my ablation back in July 2018 i was cardioverted a couple times following. I was scheduled for one more cardioversion which i believe would have been the 3rd and the day before I converted back to sinus rhythm. This was several weeks beyond what is considered the blanking period.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quoterocketritch I've had 3 with Natale. He didn't do my first 2 though. First with him was very involved. The other 2 were touch ups. Pixie, As I stated I've had three with Dr Natalie and two others with another EP. Dr Natalie worked on parts of my heart that the former EP did not. That would be my LAA and my coronary sinus. My first with him was very extensive. My secoby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
As Carey stated the LAA can be a source for afib. During my first ablation with Natale he did some work on my LAA. He then moved on to another trigger focal point. While he was working there (coronary sinus) I had an organic episode that originated in my LAA. So I got a 2fer that day on my LAA. My following 2 procedures with him focused mostly on the LAA and Coronary Sinus. The LAA is a diby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

So glad things are going well for you. Natale and his team are amazing.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Before I started seeing Dr Natale the EP I was seeing was suggesting this route for me as my second ablation with him failed. My first with him lasted close to 10 years. When I told him that I was in contact with Dr Natale he was very positive about the possibility the he would be able to help me.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Interesting right up on research eliminating AFib in these patients by stimulating the spinal cord.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

My wife and I traveled to Austin last September to see Dr. Natale for my latest ablation. Dr. Natale's team is amazing and the new center is a site to behold. The entire process was flawless as usual.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I've been on 'T' for several years with a short year or so hiatus. My only issue is I have high hematocrit levels. Even without it. I've started donating blood every couple months and it appears to be helping with that. I'm on .8cc every two weeks. I feel better with the full 1cc but it's where my doc wants me for now. Wow. So sorry to read of your issues. I agree with Carey. Get as far away from that EP as possible and find a new one.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteKleinkp Hope you carve some time out for some more rest. Seems to be a correlation between burning the candle at both ends and ectopics. That's always the plan. If I'm able to get to the gym or out on my bike I can beat the stress back. Even looking forward to those things on these long stretches keeps me sane.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteKleinkp Just got off a 2 week road trip with family while it was amazing it was also very exhausting. Came back with a load of chores on the hobby farm and right back to day job. Very little restful sleep during that 3 week stretch, went into a a 4-5 day run of ectopics. I took it upon myself to rest up and get good sleep and it appears to have settle the ectopics to my normal few daily.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotewolfpack The plant isn’t nuclear, is it? Not to add any stress or anything. Unfortunately it isn't. That would be allot less stressful. QuoteCarey I don't think you have reason to be concerned that you'll end up back in afib after 8 months of NSR. That's extremely unlikely at this point. No matter how much stress you might be under, the afib is hitting a brick wall of scar tissue and always will no matter how hard it "tries" to break through. It's in a cage it can't get out of. Been a while since I have posted. All has been well since my last ablation last Sept with Dr. Natale. The only issues I have at this point is the occasional runs of ectopic beats I experience at work. The associated cause is long hours and stress. Normally the 12 hour days and stress don't bother me. However, since we have gone to a 7on / 7off shift rotation. Coupled with a shortage of pby rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM

Not much to report. Have had a wonderful winter and spring. Hiking, snowshoeing and XC skiing all winter. And cycling this spring. Ride a rollercoaster today for the first time in many years.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
I think you will find here that stress is at the very least a common trigger. So far as surgery being the cause for the AFib it's highly unlikely. Most likely the AFib just decided to present itself at that particular time. That being said you've come to the right place to ask your question.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
My first lasted almost 10 yrs. My second only a few months. However, my trigger lied beyond the standard PVI/Flutter burn areas where most EP's will venture. This is where a more experienced EP is your best choice.by rocketritch - AFIBBERS FORUM
