Thanks, it is filling normally though...confusingby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have some sleep aids that contain L-theanine and lemon balm amongst other things that seem to calm my heart, trouble is the company seems to have stopped making them or they are on a hold or something. It must have been the L-theanine calming it. I hope it continues to help you!by Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
So I had an echo yesterday ordered by my cardiologist after I went to see him to ask for propranolol because my nurse navigator from my EP's office is weird about prescribing propranolol. I had an ablation in April. My cardiologist wants to rule out pulmonary vein stenosis following the ablation because I have had an uncomfortable feeling during high cardio and I gave up telling my nurse nby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotesusan.d Did you have your ablation at los Robles in Thousand Oaks? This office has only one NP compared to Austin that has rotated NPs. If you PM me, I can give you Austin’s head NP direct line. Or why don’t you just email him directly? He is quick in replies. His email is on his business card or you can PM so computer bots don’t spam him since this is a public forum. QuoteDaisy Thanks Jim, perhaps I shall email Dr.Natale, I am now frustrated that I didn't complain sooner because I have felt a bit isolated and in limbo regarding my symptoms, which limit my cardio Yes, you can feel very isolated if you think that what you have experienced is typical patient care in a practice--it just isn't and as far as I have heard the problem centers aroundby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotemjamesone I don't know how the messaging services work at Natale's office, but I've found that both messages and email's are often screened first by either nurses or others and many times are never routed to the Doctor. What I do is in cases like this is make it very clear in the email or message that I want to speak to the Doctor directly. Either that, or I do the same tby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM

QuoteWhyMe Since we are being honest here....I was assigned to Trent...nice guy etc, but I don't feel "the love", if you know what I mean. Kind of a dismissive attitude towards someone who is still experiencing issues after the ablation. It's like as if he does not want to believe it..."oh, maybe you are not hydrating enough..." and other vague one sentences email reby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteCarey Yeah, it's perfectly reasonable that if they prescribed a med and you want it changed that they should handle it. An email or call to your nurse navigator should get a response within, say, 2 business days. If it's a more urgent issue, it should be 1 business day. If that's not happening, let Shannon know. Oh the response from my navigator was to ask my family doctor orby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteCarey I encourage anyone who's experience sub-optimal follow-up care to let Shannon Rose know, as Pixie suggested. They can't fix something they don't know is broken. Thanks Carey, I just wasn’t sure what normal after care is and if it was correct that I shouldn’t ask them for a change in beta blockers, but it seems like I am not being unreasonable in my expectations so I wiby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
Who would I ask? My husband and I are disappointed to be honestby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
That is when I send in a weekly update with my ECG reading, but no one seems to be taking any notice. Surely they should be the ones to send in a prescription for a beta blocker, not my family doctor...by Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
I don't know if I am being unreasonable in my expectations but I had an ablation 7 weeks ago and have had very little follow up, like miniscule even though I have not had a smooth recovery. After two weeks I let them know a few times that I had some discomfort on breathing in which had been going on since I came out of the OR. I eventually was given two weeks worth of colchicine but again nby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
- 2 years agoQuoteDaisy I did find that PACs triggered Afib and I think that is the experience of some others as well. Many of the pacemaker models have an algorhythm that tries to outpace PACs and thus stop them from triggering Afib. I am left dealing with his team and frankly they are of little help. It must depend on who your nurse navigator is. I have always had a very quick response -- usuallyby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am glad they managed to map it and hopefully it has improved infinitely for you!. I was massively wiped for a few days. I still get tired after 5 weeks! How long were you under for? Take careby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
Daisy, as mine was a straightforward procedure, I was told they would just ablate the pulmonary vein and I think posterior wall. I had an additional minor LAA ablation... Megan, sorry you are suffering so much with your SVTs. Do you know what triggers it? I know my sister has SVTs and atrial tachycardia ,but unlike you she is able to control it with her meds, however if she eats or drinksby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
What do you mean by your arrhythmia being paroxysmal, your SVTs or your Afib? Because when I had my ablation in April I hadn’t had any afib since November but I had svts, not nearly as many as you but runs of them. But he managed to get my afib going for a ‘very short time’. Enough to know what to ablate…although I appreciate our cases may be very different…by Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
I met with Dr. Randall Wolf to discuss my options but for me his mini-maze seemed too invasive at my stage although he said he could offer me one if I wanted. i contacted offices of both Dr. Wolf and Dr. Natale in December. I had my first appointment with Dr.Natale January 29, and Dr. wolf the middle of Feb. I had pulse field with Dr. Natale on April 9 and so I didn't have to wait long andby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
I just had the PFA with Dr,Natale on Tuesday. I have been in NSR since November but have had lots of other arrhythmias since then. I asked him if I had afib whilst having the ablation and he said for a very short amount of time. So I conclude that they must have induced it whilst under, at least that is what I was told prior to the ablation. Also looking at the list of meds given through iv suby Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteDaisy Oh no, they wouldn’t give me a written report and said I have to request it through the portal. I would really like to know what they found. I am scheduled for PFA tomorrow, but I am now really nervous and wondering if I am doing the right thing as I have been in NSR since November, but have had lots of ectopics and arrhythmias since the episode in November. I am also last on the list at number 6, scheduled for 3 pm, this is also making me really nervous- would appreciate words of wisdom from those who have been there and had t done!by Fuzzyduck - AFIBBERS FORUM
This is all so interesting - I know my afib is caused by electrolyte issues, and I have only had a couple of events, but since the last I have had a lot of ectopic beats and arrhythmias. Interestingly, a couple of months before this I started taking calcium by way of algae cal like the other posters on this thread- I wonder if it is linked.
