Not necessarily Covid. In 2022 just before Christmas, I started getting sick. It was the first year I had not gotten a flu vaccine in many years, and as luck would have it I tested positive for Flu Type "A". I was as sick as I have ever been in my life and I am 68 years old. In January, I was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter. I was put on Xarelto blood thinner and Metoprolol to control my heart rate. Worked pretty well for a month or so but my heart rate shot up and had to have Cardioversion. In an effort to get off the Xarelto, I have had an ablation. Thanks, everyone for the response. My general Cardiologist is part of a Cardiology group. He has referred me to another Cardiologist in the group who is a certified EP. He does all the ablations and similar treatments for atrial and ventricular arrhythmia for that group as well as other cardiologists in the area.
