I have had two Migraine Auras, the first one sent me to ER to be checked if I was having a stroke. After many tests and a CT Scan, they told me what I had, had was an Ocular Migraine. I have had one other since then, but that is all. When it happened the second time it scared me, but when I saw that "light bulb filament" I realized it was a migraine. This time I got a slight headachby Ken S - AFIBBERS FORUM

Interesting. I have drank tea with Turmeric for a long time, and notice nothing. Likewise I have never been told not to. I was told it was good for inflammation.by Ken S - AFIBBERS FORUM

I often wonder if alcohol was the cause of my original outbreak of Afib. I confess to being a wino. I would have a glass, which would lead to another and another until I would finish the bottle. The night of that oubreak, I had drank an entire bottle, along with a bag of licorice that I ate earler. When I arrived at the ER, my Magnesium and Potassium levels were almost nil. So before I contact my Cardiologist, and make him think I am a total worry wart. I wondered if at 148 lbs or 67kg, is 200mg at once, too much. I worry about adverse affects. Also can anyone tell me is 200mg at once roughly the same as 100mg twice a day. As far as how much is in your system at one time.by Ken S - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteGeorgeN I also figured out during this process that my PIP dose of flec, which has been 300 mg (as I'm over 154 #'s (70 kg)) is to high and 200 mg works better for me. Prior to figuring this out, in recent times, the 300 mg would convert me to flutter (a very stable rhythm), which I'd have to convert back to afib & then NSR. With 200 mg, the flutter does not happenby Ken S - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am curious about all the posts I see online, about weaning off of Flecainide, even the Mayo Clinic site, says you should not just stop. I have been taking Flecainide for Paroxymal Afib, since 2011. I started on it, while in the Hospital, with my first episode. The Cardiologist there, who I continued to see, put me on 50mg Flecainde twice a day, along with 25mg Metoprolol. I have been taking Flecainide for eleven years, for Paroxymal Afib. Started out with 50mg twice daily, but after several afib episodes in 2016 my Florida Cardiologist, raised it to 100mg twice daily. I was also taking metoprolol 25 mg. I had several episodes while on this dosage. I then moved to North Carolina, where a Cardiologist there thought it was the Metoprolol that was causing my oubreaby Ken S - AFIBBERS FORUM
