I agree George, while I’m not an endurance athlete I do go to the gym 5 days a week, and I also think it had a lot to do With the autonomic nervous system as well, Kong what you said makes sense as well, our system slows down so much While at rest and having a vagal response in our sleep there is no way to wart it off.....by joey1974 - AFIBBERS FORUM

How are things now?by joey1974 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hahaha yes I think not sleeping for 3 weeks maybe be fatal!...that’s good to hear The vagal type manages easier...maybe that’s the reason it’s so infrequent. How Frequent were your episodes before you had your PVI?...I don’t think I’m there yet But it’s good to hear from someone with similar after dark episodes...crazy thing is I don’t have a pvc or pac during the day, I go to the gym 5 daysby joey1974 - AFIBBERS FORUM
They had mentioned vagal as well, how would you go about trying to Avoid that trigger?... Seeing as my episodes are infrequent I’m wondering if it’s just a position I get in at night? I was reading an article that said back problems and sympathetic nerve system can also Be a cause......and my lower back is bad.....I guess it’s grasping at strawsby joey1974 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi all, I had my first afib episode in 2003 woke up to it at 5:45am, went to the ER had all the normal tests done No abnormalities found, I read Hans’ information on this site when I left ER after they told me what I had was lone AF...so I changed my lifestyle and started to supplement with mag and K, I did not have another episode until 2013 And again woke up to it at around 5am, both theseby joey1974 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wonder what made it come 15 years ago then waited 10 years, which is fine with me....I’m hoping the sleep study shows osa, I never get a pac or pvc during the day, maybe rarely a couple pacs, AF has only come while asleep, and if it’s from sleep apnea must be extremely lucky for only 2 episodes in that time frame, it’s kind of hard to figure the logicby joey1974 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Good morning, yes I would def not think about any procedure now, I’ve heard stories of people jumping to that and it making it worse, I have looked up vagal very odd that only 2x in sleep I would have hit the exact spot to cause that?....so your episodes are just at night as well?by joey1974 - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Lynda, I have been following Dr William Davis the Renound cardiologist who turned his focous to nutrition. The Wheat and processed foods we eat today are pretty much poison. Thanks for the kind words Shannon....Eric others in here are much more Qualified than me to answer this but I think the calcium mag your taking Should just be mag, I believe to much calcium excites the heart, I may be wrong But I would check that out, also I believe mag is totally safe unless your taking Ridiculous amounts!
