Hi all. If my OMRON detected irregular heartbeats and it keeps appearing, my pulse is around 60-70 btw (usually 50s), is it OK to take a brisk walk today? I feel asymptomatic right now, but wondering what the overall take is on exercise while waiting for heart to go back to normal rhythm? Many thanks, Leeby Lee2022 - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteGeorgeN How old are you? I'm guessing the Losartan is for hypertension? I'm 76 years old. That's correct. Losartan for hypertension. Flec/Metoprolol for Afib. QuoteGeorgeN The flec is kind of working, but not completely. With your EP's consent, you could up the dose. Note that the max dose is 200 mg/day for someone weighing 70 kg (154#'s) or less, 300 foby Lee2022 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, all. So the million dollar question. What do I do here? I'm not necessarily feeling any symptons other than fatigue. I just checked my BP readings and it's 121/87 with BPM of 80 (normally around 50s). I have my metoprolol and fleccanide to take again at 7pm. Is this just the nature of Afib and as long as I'm not feeling any major symptons like chest pain, live with itby Lee2022 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Last time it happened was on Dec 11. Between then and now, normal rhythm. Usually, when this happens, I'm out of rhythm for a day, but this time, I'm on day 2. So just curious if this is truly Afib or not. Appreciate your feedback, George.by Lee2022 - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteGeorgeN Was this with a Holter monitor, or some other long term recording device? That's correct. I was on Holter monitor for two weeks. QuoteGeorgeN Hard to say what the device's afib detection algorithm is looking at. How does your pulse feel in the 50's vs. the 80's? 50s, it feels like normal rhythym. In the 60-80s, I can feel it go out of rhythm aby Lee2022 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi all. I have the Omron 10 series BP monitor that detects irregular heartbeats. Recently, I was diagnosed with Afib with 4-5% burden, 95% normal rhythm. My Pulse BPM is usually around 50s, but when it jumps to something higher like in the 80s throughout the day, I receive the irregular hearbeat detection on the monitor. I found out that usually I get this throughout the day and within 24 hby Lee2022 - AFIBBERS FORUM
