I am taking all of those supps you mentioned and more but did not think about the natto. So thank you for the heads up! BTW, ribose makes me pleasantly sleepy, so I only take it at night.by Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes, u make a good point there, George. I can try it. I am almost certain now that sodium is the big trigger for me. I had thought so and then I used lidocaine cream for back pain one night...lidocaine is a sodium channel blocker...and I slept very peacefully thru the night. That just confirmed my suspicions re. sodium. And, yes, apparently a topical lidocaine can calm pvc's. Seems likby Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes, my heart beats range from 44 to 102 bpm.by Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
A lady gave me some lidocaine cream for my back and I put some on (upper back; behind the heart) the night of Day 1. I could not help but notice that I slept thru the night without waking from pvc's. I thought it too good to be true and had to be coincidence, so Day 2 I did not use it and woke in the night with so much ARR's that I had to take a diltiazem. Day 3 I repeated the lidby Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
That is kinda true. I am sick of now knowing what is wrong, and I guess I am hoping something will show up that did not previously. Yes, if it could lead to ablation, that might be ok also, but I had rather hoped I would find a way to allay this problem with diet and exercise and supplements. Honestly, the feeling at night is as if the heart were fibrillating; maybe that is tachycardia.by Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I do not usually eat any meal after 7 ish although I take a number of supplements before bed; a couple are a little hard to swallow without yogurt or applesauce, so I may have a few small bites of one of those around 8 ish. I go to bed around 9:30. That may be enough anyway to cause trouble...right? Still, I do not notice this after other meals as a rule...of course, not lying down. I am notby Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
If u have even one "standard" drink, that alcohol could be the trigger that you do not want. And re. diazepam and other similar drugs, they DO INDEED help me a lot; just a fraction is all I need usually. It would seem that the afib begets stress and the stress begets afib, so taking a calming agent short circuits all that. Best of luck! I am 77 and was dealing with lone afib, dx'd about 20 yrs. ago. It seemed to diminish somewhat, even leave. Then in Dec. of 2020 by a freak accident of soapy hands, I was struck in the sternum with a mason jar which cracked the sternum at the top....forget the name right now, a small fracture which hurt like heck for a while then eventually healed. I took nsaids for 3 weeks to make pain tby Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was told that I had to try various drugs first. So, it is NOT first line for me anyway.by Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was hit in the sternum with a mason jar...an accident in the kitchen sink soap suds if u can believe it. I fractured the sternum and began having pvc's and irreg. heart beats. That was last Dec. I do not think the cardiologist bothered to ask enough questions re. the connection. He did not perceive it. I believe that an mri or other may be needed at this point as the heart could haveby Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I would recommend the intermittent fasting. Very easy to do.by Jaydee212 - AFIBBERS FORUM
