Thank you for the suggestion. I do drink a lot of water during the day and normally have to get up twice during the night. But I'll try some more.by deanpaul - AFIBBERS FORUM
Has anyone experienced continual higher heart rates during the night vs daytime rates? Post-ablation (14 weeks out) my daytime RHR averages mid-60's but for past 10 days it averages mid/high-70's at night with spikes around 90+. It's not a big difference but I wake up at every spike and sleep quality has been poor. I'm taking Propafenone again for AF relapse and my EP sby deanpaul - AFIBBERS FORUM
interesting information George and very much appreciated. Prior to crossfit exercise was primarily med-intensity cardio with weight-training. CF is mostly 10-15 min high intensity training with the occasional 25-30 min w less intensity. I've been considering detraining and adopting MAF program along with weight-training. Thank you both so much for your replies. Carey, if there are specific questions I should ask the EP during tomorrow appointment any guidance would be much appreciated. But I have a pretty good idea of what should be discussed. Thanks!by deanpaul - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Carey and all - your responses are much appreciated. Started back on Propafenone last night and this morning and now NSR restored. Does this possibly mean the antiarrythmic was just covering up AF during blanking period? Hello All. I've been following the forum for almost a year and appreciate everyone's insight on AF subject. First diagnosis for AF was June '19 and after several episodes had ablation Nov '20 at Penn Medicine Philadelphia with highly experienced EP. I'm 58 and have always been committed to a vigorous exercise program - CrossFit for the past 8 years. I finished the blaby deanpaul - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you for sharing your post @MMiller. Remarkable the number of similarities in our experiences. I did want to ask about your hiatal hernia though. I'm 11 days out from finishing my blanking period and had no issues throughout although Propafenone messed with my crossfit workouts and wish I'd had some insight from the EP. About ten days ago I started having discomfort in my steby deanpaul - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello Everyone and thanks for the info regarding resting HR after ablation. I completed blanking period 11 days ago and stopped taking propafenone immediately - per doc's instructions. Over past four days avg resting HR has gone from 65 avg to 75-80 with periods of palpitations. Only one brief moment of AF for 2-3 hours. Is it normal for resting HR to jump after stopping antiarrythmic meby deanpaul - AFIBBERS FORUM
