This is a one off and the a few minutes later another one. This is bringing back bad memories of when I had afib, I would always start out with a number of pacs and then slip into afib, fortunately I haven't had any afib with it and hoping it stays that way.by KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
My heart has been rock solid for 10 years after an ablation by Dr. natalie. I finished a bout of covid two weeks ago and I am noticing I am getting some ectopic or something. I did a few ECG's on my watch and notice that when looking at the length of blocks a typical series takes when I feel the ectopic if the normal took 5 blocks I would get a 4 block and then a six block then it would go bby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
I stopped going to that gun range and started with a brand new one with proper ventilation and I am now wearing nose filters too.by KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Done, I too couldn't have imagined navigating afib without this forum. I have enjoyed 10 years afib free after my ablation in Austin with Dr. Natale.by KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
My lead blood level is 5.2 which is considered high, I don't know if that is high enough for chelation. I still don't know the source, I live in a 8 year old house that wouldn't have any lead in it.by KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
That's the question I don't have an answer for, there are a couple of possibilities, I have done woodworking as a hobby for 30 years and possibly some of the stains and finishes contained lead, the next is I have eaten dark chocolate every day for years as well as a lot of sweet potatoes which both contain some lead. The third is I have been going to an indoor gun range for 7 months onby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was ablated by Dr Natale ten years ago today and haven't had any afib since then, I am scheduled to have some PEMF sessions to help detox some lead out of my body. Has anyone had any issues getting PEMF treatments and having it push them into afib. I am a little leary of any electro magnetic impulses around my calm heart.by KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
I just wanted to post a quick note that I just passed my four year ablation anniversary, other than a couple of PVC's every once in a while my heart has been rock solid. I can't thank Dr. Natale enough, what an amazing caring doctor. We just passed independence day and Dr. Natale gave me my own version of independence day back on July 3, 2013. I am hoping it stays a one and done story bby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have not posted in quite a while but I had something interesting happen that I thought I would share. My AFIB background was that I was diagnosed with AFIB back in September of 2003 and struggled with it until I was ablated by Dr. Natale in July of 2013. All has been great since then up until now. I was having some allergy issues and my doctor prescribed Fluticasone Propionate better knowby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Smackman, I had my ablation with Dr Natale July 3rd 2013 and have not had afib since that time but I have had some ectopics in the past few months that last about a minute or two. My first thought was "oh crap" I hope this doesn't lead into something. I think we all have had so many runs of ectopics and afib in our past I think it is normal to get a little anxious about it. Well it has been 365 wonderful days since I had my ablation with Dr Natale in Austin, I am happy to say that other than a handful of ectopic beats the first couple of months my heart has been solid as a rock. I took atenalol for about a month after the procedure and xarelto for 5 months post procedure, after that other than supplements I have been "DRUG FREE". I big thank you to hans foby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Rob and Chris. Chrisdodt, My blanking couldn't have been better, I had no afib or tachycardia and maybe a couple of times I felt one ectopic beat from time to time but it was only a couple of times and it was one beat and gone. After the blanking period there was also no afib or anything else for that matter. This was my first ablation and Dr. Natalie took about two hours and iby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had my ablation in Austin on 7/3/13 and finished my 7 day holter, I just got my results from Dr Natale's office, the good news is that there was no AFIB and I can now get off of xarelto and switch to a 325 mg of aspirin. I stopped the atenolol a couple months ago so other than supplements no more meds for me. I am hoping it stays as a one and done. I am so thankful for this site and allby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
There definitely is jealousy and big egos in the medical profession, when I had a copy of my records sent to Dr Natalie in Austin my EP at John Hopkins stopped calling in my prescriptions. Half of the doctors graduated in the bottom half of their class, it sounds like you ran into one of those KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hans, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my perfectly beating heart, if not for you and this site I too would have been lost back 10 years ago when first diagnosed with AFIB, it was here that I would come and get comfort knowing that other people were going through the same thing I was and that there was light at the end of the tunnel. I probably never would have found the likes of Dby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
I cancelled my first ablation date with Dr. Natale and at that time I was in NSR much more than I was in AFIB and then two years later when I had the ablation I was two days in AFIB and two days in NSR with afib and aflutter without fail no matter what I did. Who knows how much simpler my ablation would have been if I went through with the ablation the first time. Cold feet is very common but belby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
That is great, you won't be disappointed, he is such a nice person and so incredibly knowledgeable. The thing that surprised me most was for being the top in his field he didn't have that huge ego, what a breath of fresh air. Dr Natale did my ablation in July of this year and my heart has been solid as a rock since that day, I was not in persistent afib but after 10 years of sporadiby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
He will work his magic, he did my ablation on July 3rd and I am happy to say I have had a wonderful steady heart from the time I woke up from the procedure. Good luck with your procedure, you are in the best of hands. KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Call me old fashion but I still believe in FREEDOM, when the government takes over anything you lose another piece of your freedom. People in canada and france can say that it costs nothing for their ablation, come on, maybe for the procedure you don't pay but how about your very high income tax rate as well as your huge value added tax....nothing is free including your ablation or your healby KenH - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Shannon, That is awesome !!!!! Great news. KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Andey, I had my ablation done by Dr. Natale in Austin and I directly asked him if he was going to do the whole procedure and he responded yes. My understanding is that he does teach others but he does the entire procedure with them watching. KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, Same here, I have had it also, it has pretty much gone away but when allergies are up it tends to bother me a little. KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Petunia, I have dealt with my afib for 10 years pretty much like you, I would have an episode here and there that would would self convert, as time went on they became a little more frequent but nothing to be concerned about. In April of this year I got into a schedule of two days in afib and two days out and then I went in for seven days and that was it for me, I scheduled an appointment to hby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, Congratulations on your ablation!!!!! My post procedure protocol is similar excluding the flec, I was on 12.5 atenolol (which I just got off of at 8 weeks post procedure) and I am also on Xarelto for up to six months and he didn't have to do any work on my LAA. Relax and take some time to heal, from this point on you should be feeling better by the day. KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, Great news, welcome to the world of NSR. KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, My prayers are with both you and your husband. You are in the best hands possible so relax and now Dr. Natale can do his magic. I look forward to reading your posts after the procedure. KenHby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, I was ablated in austin but I would think things are done the same in NYC. Upon arrival you will change into a gown and then they will put in an IV line and draw blood, then hook you up to check your heart. You wait there until they are ready for you and then you will be brought to the EP lab where they will put you totally out for the procedure. You stay overnight and will be releasedby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tom, Congratulations on your one year anniversary, what a delight not really thinking about afib. I am 7 weeks post ablation and not having A blip for 7 weeks has felt like heaven, I look forward to my one year anniversary. kenhby KenH - AFIBBERS FORUM
Barb, I am feeling good, it has been seven weeks and my heart hasn't even had a pvc or pac that I have noticed never mind any AFIB so I am very happy. I have some reflux issues since the procedure, I should have stayed on the nexium longer after the procedure so I started it up again yesterday to help get rid of the dry cough that I have been dealing with since the procedure.
