Since my flutter LAA iso afib toucup then watchman in Aug 2021 watchmam feb 2022 ive been really good. A few little tachy 3-5 min low rate events. Now! My wife had open heart aortic replacement and my father 97 died jan 1. Since ive had anout 4-5 such events. All stop quick. Rate can be 95/105 but as high as 120-125. On Feb 16, 2022 i was scheduled for the Watchman back in Austin. My RHR was 75-80. High for me Natale said: its your autanomic nervous system. Itll calm down. I had no pac pvc s. He was right. It did after 2-3,months. Now no meds RHR 58 ish. Take more magnesiuby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I asked Dr Natale before my flutter ablation: so will you do the LAA? Lol dumb question: he said if thats where your problem is It was. Waited 6 months then he put a Watchman in. 6 wks later TEE here in Charlotte. Perfect. No leaks & a good seal already They call the LAA the 5th pulm vein. I have 5 so my 6th All i know is my heart is 55-60 BP 128/72 no pac pvc s no Meds. Im 70 Yes afterby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had a similar experience. Afib ablation in 2012 worked well til 2021. Flutter and ATs Ablated again here in Charlotte. Failed after 6 wks. I flew to Austin. Natale told me the next morning afterwards “youre fixed”. He was right. 2.4 yrs nothing. Go!!by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had peracarditis twice 2012 and 2021. Both hit me 12-15 hrs following ablation. My aug 2021 ablation with Dr Natale was perfect. He had me on colchcine for a week prior then lasix in iv the am after. Nothing. The previous 2 lasted 3-5 days. It’s inflammation so they had me used advil despite eliquis. I had no after effects Dr Natale noted i had had it twice so he was proactive. Over 2 yrs nby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Carey! And im no longer on eliquis. I chose a different long term route Now my wife’s on it lolby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ok my latest issue. Ive had a small inguinal hernia 10+ yrs. No pain. Now it’s bothering me. I had my Natale flutter ablation Aug 2021. Watchman Feb 2022 by him Tomorrow i meet with sugeon to consult. Any advice? Warnings? Im doing great otherwise. I do read hernia horror stories. Mesh?open? I was ablated by Dr Natale 8-6-21. Covid 12-29-21 til jan 8? Anyway i was rock solid til 2 wks after covid. Then a 2 hour afib. My only in over 2 yrs now. After that my rhr went to 78-82. 90-92 walking around. 2/16/22 back to Austin for watchman. Dr Natale said it was my autanomic nervous system that itd calm. It did 4-6 weeks later. Now im 58-62 Covid was the strangest illness ive ever had &by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM

Thankyou for the kind suggestions and comments. Home again 48 hrs no afib for her. They’re convinced itll settle down as days go by So typical: amio and metropolol. Thanks to this site I’ve learned so much over the years Maybe a bad idea i know too much lol. Wow this valve open heart stuff is rough. Plus one bypass so her leg all gauged too Ok cookies for police good idea. If. If we go back. Iby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well my wife 70 had her Aortic Valve open heart surgery 8/24. Progressed well! Next 4 days. Sent her home Monday. She in the back seat i noticed neck pulse very fast?? I thought??? Home. She was at 160 but afib. Cardiologist said go to ER. 911. To ER. They immediately put her on amioderone drip. I freaked!!! Anyway she converted in 6 hrs. Acute not chronic obviously. Then idiot me lost my temperby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Johnny since my Natale flutter LAA ablation 8-6-21 ive had a handful Of tachy runs. Short and low rate. 30 seconds and as long as 30 mins. Maybe 6? Rate 97-105. So strange. One of the longer ones was 2 weeks after Jan 2022 covid but 4 wks before my Austin watchman. An A would be perfect nsr. Im very pleased. I take it very for granted now. Im still careful with alcohol and take many supplements.by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jim: my right flutter ablated in 2012 here in Charlotte. The atypical flutter emerged 9 yrs later. March 29, 2021 ablated here. Didnt work so i went to austin. Yes he induced flutter. LAA & posterior wall? Anyway it was 1:45 in length. I did have an afib episode 3 weeks afterwards lasting 5 hrs at 125. Afib! Not flutter. After that ive had a few 97-105 tachy things lasting 30 seconds to 30 miby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr Natale rather grudgingly agreed for my post Watchman TEE here in Charlotte. My EP does the Watchman and they have a TEE Specialist who received Austin s protocol and then provided them the scan. Mine was perfect per the TEE been 18 months now since Dr Natale placed my Watchmanby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Time flies. I call 2021 my yr from hell. Cardioversion 144 flutter. 3/29 flutter ablation in Charlotte. Lasted 6 weeks. Was actually worse. Left atypical flutter. May 25 HR 181 my alltime high! With Shannon’s & Carey’s guidance i ended up in Austin. 8-6-21 ablation by Dr Natale. LAA isolated. Posterior wall etc. ive never had it again . I was back in Austin 2-16-22 Dr Natale placed my Watchmaby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thankyou all. Second opinion we had not discussed. Her Dr has been with sanger many years. Cornell Harvard. My EP here Dr Holshouser loves him. We see him 8/1 so we ll have a good feel thenby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
Just fishing for any info: my wife 70 has a heart murmur since childhood. Upon yearly physical she was sent to cardio. Aortic stenosis almost severe, we meet surgeon 8/1 Pig valve? Mech valve? Open or trans vascular ? Oh my any thoughts appreciated BTW 8/6 is my 2 yr Natale LAA flutter ablation. Ill do a report lol Tomby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had similar rhythms in 2021 prior to my flutter ablation in Austin 8-5-21 Id have what Holshouser & Natale called Atrial Tachycardia’s. Natale put an end to those They were at the septum. Rate would be 115-125 5-60 mins then converted. Flutter was a different animal 125-180 And not self converting. Now im 58-62. Lower than ever. Holshouser says my ablations may be the cause of lower raby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had Dr Natale place my Watchman 2-16-22. Following 8-6-21 LAA He rather reluctantly said yes to my request of 6 week TEE here in Charlotte My ep places watchman has done hundreds of TEE so Dr Holshouser did it at 6 weeks Im now at 15.5 months Last week my yrly with Holshouser: he said if i ever need a cardioversion that a CT would be needed to still rule out clotby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM

Ive had my Watchman for 15 months. Dr Natale placed mine 2-16-22. In the 2-3 months following and after my 6 week TEE my rhr went from 68-72 to 60-64 and has remained low. I did change my exercise routine to slightly less weights to more walking & cardio. I walk ea day an hour. So idk. Maybe this lowered my rhr but its lower. Never 45-50-55 but 58-62 yesby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I still love my EP here in Charlotte: warren Holshouser. I did go to Dr Natale for my atypical flutter ablation 8-6-21. Holshouser did a pvi on me in 2012. Went very well 9 yrs. He ablated the flutter march 2021 but it didnt work thus Austinby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
John another few cents: i limit drinking to 1 ipa as alcohol has a trigger history for me. Coffee no but its the only caffeine i get. 1 stout dark strong cup. I buy craft coffee too lol. So id watch the alcohol. Ive found my limits. Like many here im Type A driven perfectionist (sports gardening coffee honey ft pens) . Lift weights at 69 walk alot etc. i rarely sit. Going to Natale is the correctby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
John my 2 cents: i developed atypical flutter 9 yrs after an afib pvi. The flutter was ablated here in Charlotte. Lasted 6 weeks. More flutter. It actually got worse. Off to Austin i went. 8-6-21 Natale did 2-3 areas that were never touched including LAA. I asked why? Dumb question btw. Dr Natale said because that was the flutter source. 4 months later i had omicron covid. Rough. Zero flutter. 2-by Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
I totally agree with Carey and garbage sports drinks. Body Armour drew me in with 700 mg of K 20 calories and I honestly thought Erythritol was from berries etc IE natural Hes correct though : the hell with it i use such low sugar anyway it makes no difference. I love coconut water so back to that and water. I use turbinado sugar in coffee. Again though this study was done using people with preby Poppino - AFIBBERS FORUM
