afdude, You have been afib-free for the last 5 months. Chances are good that you will continue so. Why should you even consider a touch-up at this point in time? It makes sense to wait and hope for the best. Pompon, I am so glad to hear that you are improving with regard to afib and ectopics. I hope you will end up being afib-free. Thank yoy, Steve, for your reply. While you were taking Prozac, did you notice if it had an effect on your afib episodes? Either a good effect, a bad effect or no effect? I understand that you still have afib episodes. How often? and how do you cope with them? Have you considered another ablation? If you did not like Prozac, you could have tried another SSRI pill. smackman, Did you start with the Prozac after the ablation you went through, or while you still were having afib episodes from time to time? Did the ablation (2nd one) free you from afib? I am asking all these question to see if the Prozac for you had no effect on the frequency and magnitude of the afib episodes. Because as I said this is a major concern for me. Thanks Leahby Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, smackman, for your reply. I have decided to see a psychiatrist and get an SSRI tablet. I get an anxiety spell that lasts a few hours almost every evening. As I mentioned in my post, Escitalopram did trigger afib episodes for me, so I am anxious about it. I had an ablation almost two months ago, but i am not totally free of afib yet. I know that it takes 4 to 8 weeks before the SSRIby Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM

I try to stop an afib by coughing deeply and strongly. Sometimes it helps for awhile. I do not understand the physiology behind it. Has it anything to do with the CO2 level or not?by Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello, Firsly, excuse me if my english is not very good, and also for my long post. As I have posted before on this forum, I am 71 years old. Since sometime last year I started feeling anxious with no apparent reason. I was retired, had a good marriage and good children and my life was perfectly fine. As the feeling did not improve I finally I went to my GP doctor who prescribed me the SSRI mediby Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi In108, Since you intend to start with Eliquis instead of Warfarin, I would like to tell you that Eliquis causes me great fatigue sometimes to the point of exhaustion. I hate it. If you search online regarding this issue, you'll see that many report feeling this great fatigue because of Eliquis. Some say that they returned to Warfarin because of it.by Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
Right now two months feels like eternity to me...by Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am not taking drugs other than Eliquis. I am sensitive to chemicals as well. As I weigh only 50 kilos and I'm 71, I'm on half a dose currently. (2.5 mg twice a day) and still feel this great fatigue and also some brain fog. I wish it will get better soon, because I don't have the energy to do things. I saw on the internet that Xarelto and Pradaxa can cause fatigue as weby Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello, I have been on Eliquis since my cryoablation a month ago. I feel very fatigued and exhausted. Can't stand the feeling. Lately I started to think that it may be related to the Eliquis that I am taking. Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, can switching to Xarelto or Pradaxa help? My EP insists that I stay on Eliquis 3 months. Thanks Leah H.by Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM

Thanks, Pompom, for your encouraging words. I usually do not tolerate medications well. But maybe I should try them all the same. Now that I am experiencing afib episodes during he blanking period almost every day for hours, I fear it means that my ablation (2 weeks ago) is not working. I find it very hard to tolerate the afib episodes and I feel quite desperate. I so need encouragement. My EP isby Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM

JakeL, How does it feel to be in permanent atrial fibrillation? Do you feel it? Does it bother you? I know that some people are asymptomatic, which means that they hardly feel the irregular heart rhythm. Unfortunately, I am very symptomatic and suffer a lot when it happens to me.by Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
Pompom, Have you ever taken anti-arrhythmic medication? I wonder if I should try it, as I am so miserable and suffering when I am in afib. I really feel I cannot go on as it is now. I feel that my quality of life is terrible.by Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
As I wrote in post 2 days ago, I am 2 weeks after my cyroablation. In the first 12 days I had a sinus heart rate, but on the 13 day had a 5 hour afib and on the 15 day another one. I am so discouraged and starting to think that my ablation was not successful and that I probablyI will need a second ablation. Can someone give me the contact details for the Bordeaux center. I know that the waiting lby Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you Wolfpack for your reply. I did take Eliquis but only about a week before the ablation. After the ablation I was taking 5mg twice a day. As I felt that the Eliquis causes my blood pressure to drop and I felt weak, and since I weigh only 51 Kg, I asked my EP if I can lower the dose to 2.5 mg twice a day. He agreed reluctantly that I take 7.5 mg a day (5mg and 2.5mg). When I had my afibby Leah H. - AFIBBERS FORUM
