The other night I woke up in fib, when this happens I take a propafenone tablet and a beta blocker, normally my episode lasts three to four hours. I decided to try the breathing technique George described, I took a slow deep breath, held it as long as I could, and once I exhaled, I again held it as long as I could, it ended my episode after the first try. Hi Joe, the first time I went into afib it was right after I took a drink of very cold milk, it happened again later after drinking ice cold water. Now I'm more careful, I take smaller sips or I use a straw, it seems to help.by lizzie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Actually I haven't had an episode since last year, I only just started taking the magnesium and I had the episode, thats why I was thinking it might have something to do with mixing of the drugs.by lizzie - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for the information...I was just curious...I'm using magnesium citrate, drinking it before bed and Thursday of last week I woke up in afib.by lizzie - AFIBBERS FORUM
The bisoprolol is not taken for high blood pressure, just to keep the heart rate down, I also take propafenone. My question is, does taking magnesium interfere with these drugs.by lizzie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hello...I am new to this site, and I have already found it very helpful. I find the anxiety afib causes is the worst part, just never knowing when it will start. My biggest challenge right now is my son is getting married in august and they have chosen to get married in Las Vegas, we live in Ontario Canada so it will be a 4.5 hour plane ride and I'm very nervous.
