Hi everyone, I had an ablation on Friday the 20th of July. This Saturday will be 3 weeks and I'm curious how long I need to hold off on intense exercise (cycling, running, weightlifting, etc). Natale told me 7 days to normal activity but I'm not sure high impact cardio is in the the normal activity category. I'll probably lay off power lifting until I'm out of the blby ragatx - AFIBBERS FORUM
Today is 2 weeks out from procedure. Had a bit of a scare that ended up being nothing serious. Was at work on Monday and all the sudden I couldn't read the text on my monitor. It's hard to put into words, but it was as if portions of the words on screen were just disappearing. I looked at a calendar on the wall and random squares on the grid were just blank. I was told it was 47 minutes of “burn time”. So a relatively short op. I’ve had ekgs read both AF and flutter so not sure if I’ve got both. Have heard that AF can settle into a flutter pattern (or maybe it’s the other way around). Natale said I had flutter on the table. Heard that’s a good thing that maybe flutter ablation is easier or results maybe hold longer. I’m just happy to be home and resby ragatx - AFIBBERS FORUM
Natale said that I came in with AFlutter and he did a PVI-E, the PV, superior vena cava and “back wall”. He said there were no triggers in the LAA & he wasn’t too aggressive. I’m not familiar with what that means but I trust he did what was necessary plus a little preventative too. He didn’t prescribe rhythm control drugs & said I should be on OAC for 3-5 months. Procedure went smoothly & I’m in NSR. My resting rate is higher than normal at 92 & my BP is lower at 110/60. Usually 140/80 @ 65bpm. Lightheaded and tired prob bc of the lower BP. Not sure why that is but the nurses aren’t concerned. Figure I’ll get some sleep and see how things are tomorrow. All in all feeling pretty good and in sweet NSR for the first time in 2 weeks.by ragatx - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hey Rocketritch, I've also got an ablation with Natale tomorrow. We'll probably be neighbors. Hope your procedure goes smoothly and your recovery is quick! -Tonyby ragatx - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi everyone, I've been in read-only mode here for a while but wanted to say hello. I'm scheduled for an ablation with Dr Natale tomorrow. I'm a 42 yo M who has had paroxysmal AF off and on for the past 18 months. My AF just went persistent with an episode commencing July 7th which continues on in this moment. My rate is pretty low at 90-110 compared to what I've seen inby ragatx - AFIBBERS FORUM
