Thanks Han. Without this community I don't know where I am to deal with the afibb beast. I am almost two year after the ablation. No medication. Regards, BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Today is my one year after ablation on 2/15/2012. So far I feel my life is back to normal. I found my paroxysmal in early 2010. I felt it was even earlier in 2005 when I had the symptom. I was 51 years old in 2010. I started to take Fleicanide in August 2011 and found not much effect. I made the decision to have the procedure in Oct 2011, helped by Hans and the forum. Chukker, I was in your situation exactly one year ago. I am back to my NSR for a year now. I take no drug. And PAC has subsided. I am happy that I made the decision. Best wishes to your procedure. BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mine was billed $120K. The insurance ended up paying about $80K. It was about a year ago.by BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, I am not a Bonco fan, but Peyton fan. The OT game proved that my ablation by Dr. N. works, at least for almost a year. BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gianfranco, Best wishes to your procedure tomorrow. BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
What do you think? I quote the link: Until FIRM ablation becomes mainstream, current-day AF ablation centers on durable electrical isolation of the pulmonary veins (PVs). This can be accomplished with fire or ice. Using heat, point-to-point ablation of the PVs took years of experience and hundreds of cases to learn. Even the most skilled centers report redo-ablation rates as high as 40by BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
If I remember correctly his name is Zach. He went to Dr. Sue in Arizona. BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Hans and a lot of the members here. Hans helped me make decision on what doctor and where to get the ablation done. I am more than 10 months post ablation. So far so good. Billby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carol Dr. Natale didn't prescribe PPI when I had the ablation 7 months ago. BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Don, I totally agree with what Shannon said " I would be particularly insistant to go with only the very best and most skilled EP you can possibly manage to arrange". would you share who would be the EP? BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Best wishes to Tom Tuesday! From an afibber who is 6 months post ablation.by BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm happy to hear everything went well and under control. Best wishes to your NSR.by BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM

My father just passed away 5 days ago.He was 82. I had been paying attention to his permanent Afib. But it seems the cause of death was majorly COPD. He had at least 20 years history of coughing. Does AFib cause COPD or COPD cause Afib? I am 5 months post AF ablation. Other than some etopics I am so far so good. Another question: does crying bad for my afib ? I have been crying a lot rby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Cindy, I am been waiting for your updates. Do you remember I was two days behind your first ablation? Sorry about your fall. Best wishes for you recovery. Billby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm on my 7 days post ablation monitoring. It's 4th today. The sticky pads make me feel itchy. Best Wishes.by BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am 10 weeks post ablation. My bigeminal PACs/PVCs have almost disappeared after Doctor's asked me to stop taking Flecainide when they saw my heart rate was too low which happened on March 26th after my experiment taking two 50mg at night. I have been doing great since, except some skipped beats once in a while. But since last week I feel some intermittent pain in my right chest . Itby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
Cindy, It's great to know you are home and feel fine. Billby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had a lot of PACs and maybe PVCs after abaltion. I have slow heart rate at 50. After I stopped taking Flecainide which caused HR lower,my PACs subsided. I am 9 weeks after ablation. I have been in NSR for almost a month now. BillCby BillC - AFIBBERS FORUM
