Hi Jog, The Wenxin Keli I eventually dropped as it did not agree with me for extended use. Losing weight reduces the AF conduction pathways in the heart. I followed the Dr Wallach AF treatment advice (search YouTube) and after 5 years of sustained effort, the AF (two or three times per week despite 4 ablations) reduced and now has gone for the last 9+ months despite indulging in my dietaby phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dude, I do not frequent this forum much these days, so I only just saw your post. I have purchased online from www.wenxinkeli.com Takes several weeks for delivery to Aussie. From memory, they take a month off from fulfilling orders around Chinese New Year.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Organic fruit and vegetables to the rescue! My error may have been consuming 'regular' gluten free bread while eating organic otherwise. Everyone has something to contribute and is appreciated!by phill - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I think it was 12 hours after the flecainide, but I'm not sure completely. It may have been 6. I can't describe the rhythm other than the heart felt unable to sustain it for any length of time. With Afib the heart can manage okay. My trouble is I react to many things, particularly pharmaseuticals. For example, I have slight but permanent tinnitus, but taking aspirin makes it loud.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
I posted recently about having what seems like flutter after taking flecainide. 'Twas awful. For the record I had 3 ablations a decade ago.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Sam, Interesting post, that provides avenues to explore. Might even explain why gluten free bread from the supermarket doesn't seem so great. Worth a try. Thanx!by phill - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi Elizabeth, There are always two sides to every equation. I certainly can appreciate what the report you refer to provides. (Can't see the link though.) But there is another side. I am gluten sensitive, but not coeliac. For the first 25 years of life nutrients in my diet were 'flushed' because I did not know. I was thin as a rake and cramping in the stomach as a teenager. Thanks for the feedback wolfpack! I was getting to the stage of passing out. The increasing strain on the heart was incredible...no pain, just an inability to cope with the rhythm -- it wasn't one chaotic rhythm but multiple. I couldn't take it much longer and while sitting on the floor slammed my (inner) wrist down and it suddenly stopped. I felt zapped for hours overnight. Since thby phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
I am super sensitive to medications, and even to things such as gluten, lactose, etc. With the food category, my sensitivity is expressed gradually and slowly. For instance, gluten in the diet provides slowly increasing symptoms over weeks. In any case, the body manages to compensate with the imbalance as much as it is able to. With medications, there is usually no indication of any sensitiby phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
(Excuse for being somewhat off topic.) Hey Jackie, I take L-Carnitine, but did not know it could make sleep difficult if taken later in the day. I read one of your posts last year about dairy providing excess calcium. Dairy? I love my dairy! After recently getting Death by Calcium by Thomas Levy (which you talked about) it makes me strongly suspect whether the sizeable quantity of dairyby phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dr Joel Wallach believes pinched/crushed spinal nerves causes Afib. I'm still experimenting with that approach. I had a bulging disk beneath the shoulder blades that has since more or less gone. Other issues involved too that had to be dealt with, which will take time. I'm wary of mentioning much about my particular approach as it has been too extreme getting the back re-aligned.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Jackie! I take a number of supplements, but not Vitamin D as I've just had 6 months of sunny summer weather. I've read online a few non-Afibbers mention that the MK-7 form of K2 can give them heart palpitations, but not MK-4. Perhaps as you suggest, I might simply be dosing sensitive (as I am to pharmaceuticals).by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Have been taking Vitamin K2 MK-7 form, varying from 90 to 270mcg per day, for 3 months. I'm not sure I tolerate MK-7. Some anecdotal reports are it may give palpitations or arrhythmia. With me, it was a strange kind of Afib (if actually the cause of the Afib.).by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
As you indicate Irma, dealing and deciding treatments for Afib is a very personalized thing. I've had three ablations myself and the chinese herbs were first used 3 years after the last of the surgery.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was always able to know exactly when my heart was in Afib and the moment it wasn't, so this may account that I could sense when a session was impending. Missed/skipped beats or noticeable sweating in my case were not so much a warning, but rather an indication that a session was already in the making even though then not actually occurring. What foretold a session was feeling too good,by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
If you think Wenxin Keli tastes bad, which I don't 'cos I'm used to it and consider it rather pleasant, then you have to try full strength traditional chinese herbals that you brew at home! Engine sump oil tastes as good. Had to hold my nose to get it down and used to have partial throw-ups. But, like everything, you get used to it if you have resolve, and eventually began to evenby phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
My input wouldn't be useful. Ten or so years ago, everything was a trigger, at least that was my conclusion after 1 year of noting down everything done or consumed. Even drinking a glassful of room temperature water, or the alarm clock, or near anything eaten gave 36 hour AFib every second day regular as clockwork. Sometimes supplements might ease the burden, but not much more than that.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Barry, I have also in the past read of individuals recommending Iodine supplementation to deal with Afib. But with the Iodine toxicity warnings on the Web, I did not know what dosage to try, and currently take 1 or 2 drops of 225mcg of Eidon. This might explain why I haven't noticed anything -- 1/56 or 1/28th of your daily dosage. Hmmm...back to the drawing board. Cheers!by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey Jackie, Well, now I know why I've not had the problem much when using the NutriBullet a couple times a week. I add Kombucha too, and the slurry from that mixture would make the residents of Pompeii think Vesuvius was alive again. Amazing how things inter-relate.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Heather...That's what I used to get often...burping like Mount Vesuvius, which always heralded heart pauses, followed by AF hours later. Antacids hardly worked, not that reducing stomach acidity is a good thing. The burping never seemed caused by indigestion as far as I could tell.by phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Without providing a recommendation in terms of your specific inquiry, Bentonite Clay is supposed to be able to remove toxins, chemicals, heavy metals. I used it for a month or two. Lots of info on the web. From memory, consume away from food and supplements/medication.by phill - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Slightly off topic but an opportune moment to mention that (to my understanding) according to Dr Joel Wallach you don't need actual osteoporosis to pinch the Th1-4 spinal nerves and experience Afib; typical age-related disc compression/loss may be sufficient (as might be evidenced by the loss of body height after the prime years of growth). Certainly, I had chronic hiccups as a youth, bacby phill - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I do not know if this is relevant, but from my experience, under no circumstances apply topical minoxidil. I did for male pattern baldness and AF soon was upon me. I don't think the minoxidil was the only cause of the AF, but it was like kerosene on a spark. After 3 months of use, on every occasion 12 hours after applying it, my heart beat so violently the association was unmistakable (anby phill - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Follow up... After speaking for a few moments with my Chinese acupuncturist/doctor, here is my 10 cents worth... The water should be boiling, as with all herbs. Each of the ingredients in Wenxin Keli (WK) are best prescribed according to the particular function each specific ingredient is supposed to achieve, and whether the particular patient needs it. I can't offer specifics because the included notes with the Wenxin Keli were entirely in Chinese script as you know! But from my own past experience with Chinese herbs it takes at least 2 months before you notice any change and 4 months to feel better. Very broadly, the Chinese herbal approach attempts to influence the whole body-system first and foremost. We consider whatever it is thatby phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi rollierouge, I pour boiling water into a cup with teaspoon inside and let it sit for 2 minutes. After everything has cooled a tad, I pour in the Wenxin Keli. (Rather than use a brewers thermometer I dip a finger tip -- if I can stand to leave it there for more than a few seconds its too cool and needs a boiling water top-up.) Stir for 5 seconds. I slowly sip it down over 5 minutes (giby phill - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hey all, I tried most everything previously, and the results were marginal. Four ablations a decade ago worked good, then so-so, then hardly at all. I couldn't go anywhere without taking a face cloth, even when in NSR. Hi rollierouge, Did not seem too long.. 2 weeks thereabouts? (to Australia). I placed an order for a second batch on 5 Sep and it has yet to arrive. All the packages had Chinese script, so I used the usual method suggested by Chinese herbalists... Place contents into a cup of water too hot to drink but preferably not boiling.
