It was on my discharge papers and the nurses told me.by peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Two months ago I had a "touch up" ablation with Dr. Natale in Austin. This was my 3rd ablation in 10 years. The first 2 were with Dr. Saliba at Cleveland C. The last was about 7 years ago. Maybe things have changed greatly, but the process was a "dream". No pain or discomfort before or after. I was walking around several hours after the procedure. Everything was so well organiby peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM

I have recently converted into persistent AFIB from 5 years of Proximal AFIB while using Flecanide. My first ablation was in 2010 at C.Clinic. My second ablation was in 2012 also at C.C. Dr. Saliba performed both. I am 83 and have had AFIB for over 20 years. I have been exhausted by almost any exertion for the last 2 years. I’m normally quite active and still working. I have a mild, stable caseby peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have not purchased Xarelto from Canada, but I do buy Synthroid there. The brand name product costs 1/5 of the US price. You can't tell me that the manufacturer sells it at a loss in Canada. The pharmaceutical companies say they need the money for research. Is a 5x markup reasonable?by peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM
I had my ablation at the CClinic under Dr. Saliba 2.5 years ago. I also hoped to go off the Xarelto. My local EP suggested the LINQ implant , which we did. He found a few short self correcting AFIB episodes over a 4 month period and refuses to let me go off Xarelto. I am 80.by peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Good Idea. My local EP suggested the LINQ, which I had implanted in Dec. 2014. Prior to this I querried Dr. Saliba at CC, who performed my 2 ablations, regarding the advisability of doing this in order to see if I could go off Xarelto. I received no feedback from Dr. Saliba, but went ahead anyway. It was worthwhile to do this as I discovered that I have brief infrequent AFIB episodes that I wby peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM
My AFIB progressed much as yours over 12 years. Flecanide was the best of the 1/2 dozen meds that I tried. Eventually I had repeated break throughs. I have had 2 ablations by Dr. Saliba at CClinic. Things improved greatly after the first ablation, but then I had to go back on Flecanide until it was apparent after 2 years that a second ablation was needed. Two years later I am still off thby peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sorry for the late reply. I had a similar problem. At first I wasn't sure what all the pain and swollen toe were from. Of course it was gout. The Dr. put me on Uloric (prescription med.), which reduced my uric acid level. I've had no trouble in the 2 years since. I have no problem also taking Xarelto.by peterA80 - AFIBBERS FORUM
