I started Keto in early 2018. I experienced the adaptation symptoms and really had to stay on top of hydration and electrolytes. As a reward, I easily lost about 45 pounds over 8 months. The first 20-30 actually dropped very quickly ... in a couple of months. I started yoga at the same time but weight loss was clearly related to eating keto-ish. I felt great in keto. Came back to see if there had been any more threads on linq removal and this was still, unfortunately, the only relevant thread. Last fall Dr. Natale's office called about getting my monitor station returned. I asked about removal and they said they do it with hospital admission ($$$) . I'm not writing a blank check to a hospital. The contact suggested that I call Medtronic toby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well, smackman, it looks like we may have to be pioneers on this. If work slows down I'll try to call Dr. Natale's office but I don't expect I'll be able to get much info at all without an office visit (which I'm unlikely to do just for this purpose). There is a youtube video of relevance/interest ... I won't link to it but you should be able to google it. I alsby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm right at 3 years since my ablation with Dr. Natale in Austin for my arrhythmia hat trick of tach, flutter and A-Fib. I had the Linq implanted and monitored for most of the meantime but have not had it monitored for a while due to cost. Thankfully all signs from the monitor had been squeeky clean NSR ... hence my cost/benefit decision to discontinue monitoring. My resting rate has beenby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
I was on that table a few hours after you on Thursday. Things did go a bit quickly once in the EP lab! They wheeled me in probably around 2:30 or so. The first person I saw was Dr. Natale and he gave me a smile and a wave. I met Tammy and she and Shannon (a different Shannon than the one from this site) got to work sticking stuff on my back (like big stickers). I don't remember the ordeby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Shannon for you input. I'm looking forward to it ... especially given my current state. I've been "significant" symptom free for about 2 weeks and now that I'm in the "no meds" window (except Eliquis, of course) ... I'm in A-fib this morning. Luckily HR is only in the 90-100 range ... so it's not too bad, but pulse is uneven and it'sby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
My procedure is this Thursday, 5-March, with Dr. Natale. This thread was helpful, but I'm still on the fence about the Reveal Linq monitor. If the other option was an event monitor with the stickers and wires, there would be no question about it - but a monitor I place over my heart as needed doesn't seem so bad. As things stand now, my A-fib is paroxysmal but I also have paroxysmaby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yeah ... Oops! I knew that didnt sound right when i was typing it and fixed it. Thanks for the encouragement also ... I had read about 3-4 month lead times on the board so wasn't too surprised.by ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Steve. I will check him out. Called Dr Natale's office last week and while he's taking new patients the schedule is closed. They'll call me when they start scheduling again and feb/Mar would be the soonest just for a consultation. I feel like I'm sort of in limbo on the dr front ... no idea when i will see Natale ... not sure there is much point following up wiby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks all for the input. Also -- apologies for my poorly worded rambling above. It was a quick brain purge. I will call Dr. Natale today to see when I can get a consult. Frankly I'm of the "get it done" mindset right now but also value the lifestyle piece of the equation. I'm doing a lot of reading and trying my best to clean up lifestyle elements. Hey folks. Was glad to stumble on this resource/community. I've never gone through anything like this before. This will be a bit long and I only have a couple initial questions so thanks for those who make it though and offer input., I was recently diagnosed with afib ... actually 3 arrhythmias: PSVT, A Flutter and A Fib. Mine are paroxysmal but can last for several hours. For the lby ghbyram - AFIBBERS FORUM
