Vitamin E appears not to work like Warfarin, but there is still some interesting things to note about it. Abstract: The hypothesis that oxidative stress has a role in atherosclerosis rests on a large body of experimental work carried out in animal models of heart disease. The situation is more complex in humans, in that the results from vitamin E supplementation trials have been conflicting. Nby Tish - AFIBBERS FORUM
Add to the above this: Abstract: Vitamin E was advocated as an effective treatment for heart disease by Dr. Even Shute of London, Ontario more than 50 years ago. His pioneering claims, which were unacceptable to the medical community at large, have been confirmed by recent findings from epidemiologic studies and clinical trials. This review integrates our current knowledge of atherogenesis wiby Tish - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Joan, here is a little more info. 1 BP is measured while at rest. You need to lay down for 15 - 30 minutes ,depending what you just have done earlier, and then take your BP. The BP varies a lot depending of your physical activity during the day and the BP you mention could be normal after physical activity. What is normal and what is hypertension you can see here: 2 Digital BP monitors areby Gunnar v/61/na - AFIBBERS FORUM
George - lack of oxygen causes headaches. J.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM
My supplement mainstays are: flush free niacin (500 mg twice daily) which prevents toxic (potentially lethal) adrenaline metabolite induced afibs and other arrhythmias. Taurine (5 grams twice daily) and arginine 500 to 1000 mg twice daily, magnesium (any compound but oxide) 600 mg daily, zinc 60 mg daily. Also, humming to generate nitric oxide (which is also induced by arginine) works as a rescby George Eby - AFIBBERS FORUM
Who knows. Maybe it is the excess nitric oxide, or maybe it is hyperoxygenation. It can also cause headaches.by George Eby - AFIBBERS FORUM
Todd - if I ever get a sinus headache, I just apply essential oil of peppermint to my brain stem area, temples and frontal sinuses plus put some in my cupped palms and inhale (carefully). The headache usually is gone in under 5 minutes. Jackieby Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

David - I'm with you. I am extremely sensitive to repetive extraneous noise. Maybe it would be fine to do outside and way from others for four hours. Like when chopping wood. ; ) George - I assume the dizziness comes from lack of proper oxygenation during extended humming.... try it a while... you don't seem to breathe normally and it probably catches up after prolonged periods.by Jackie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Ho ho ho! George Next time a woman asks you "Do you have any idea how old I am?" look puzzled, smile charmingly and say "I have a couple of ideas. The trouble is I don't know whether to make it 10 years younger because of your looks or ten years older because of your intelligence." Have you ever thought that it might have been a bit difficult to take a sickie if youby Emmie - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hello George, I was interested to read about humming in your previous posts but don't remember reading about how long to do it for or about 'lower' humming creating more NO - so thanks for the update and added info. I have a naturally deep voice and, so am able to hum in the lower register - not in tune, alas, so I can sympathise with you, David! 2.06pm It's now five minuteby Emmie - AFIBBERS FORUM
I not so sure that humming for 4 hours might be worse than having afib. Also, it could be dangerous to hum around other persons for that lenght of time. I know I would not want to listen to it.by DavidS - AFIBBERS FORUM
In my article about taurine and arginine being useful to treat arrhythmias ( ), I mentioned how I figured out that nitric oxide was vital to cardiac rhythm. I mentioned that I had discovered it by humming to cure a severe case of chronic sinusitis, which generates nasal nitric oxide. See that report at . You could try L-arginine. The arteries have there own BP regulating mechanism that works without intervention from the autonomous nervous system. The regulation take place in a thin layer called the endothelium and as a reaction to shear forces in the artery wall from BP nitric oxide is released which via a log range of intermediate steps blocks the influx of Ca++ into smooth muscle cells causingby Gunnar v/61/na - AFIBBERS FORUM
You write: "After some research, I am sure it is Atrial Flutter". An ECG will easily show what is going on. One of many underlaying caused of arrhythmias could be an imbalance of the electrolytes and that is routinely checked when you are admitted to a hospital for AF/flutter. Other issues discussed on this forum are deficits of certain amino acids like taurine and L-arginne which seby Gunnar v/61/na - AFIBBERS FORUM
I posted on Nov 21, 06 that my arrhythmias stopped after adding niacinamnide to my regime of taurine and arginine (they relapsed after 6 months of being absent due to taurine and arginine). Here is a little background material about angina: You have not said if you take some other drugs against angina. If we go the organic nitrate, L-arginine track it is in the end a matter of No causing a blocking Ca++ ions in vascular smooth muscle to get vasolidation. One other way to achieve that would be to block Ca++ directly with a smooth muscle selective calcium channel blocker like amby Gunnar v/61/na - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Alex, if you experience high blood pressure together with low heart rate at night it could be worth a try. I periodically wake up that way together with ectopics and from experience I now that AF than is not far away. A cialis pill, a PDE5 inhibitor, will take care of that problem for 3 times 24/7 within 15 minutes. The only explanation I can find is that I have a dysfunctional endothelium. William, given Mg's usual functional role as a facilitator of a wide range of enzyme actions, I suspect that its major role for myelin is in the various processes the body uses in building myelin, rather than Mg itself serving as an important building block. It's now 10 hours after my arginine on the tongue experiment and my tongue is still sore but slowly improving. I don't think I'll try that again. It hurts to eat.
