Hi all, I need to replace my standard solution K+ slope 15 and K+ STD 20. I can't find a supplier. Is there another solution we can use instead? Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Steve, I would be interested in your cholesterol levels before you started your protocol and what they are now. This is the key I believe with your success, along with the exercise you do. I think the Cranberrys would improve your HDL and the exercise would lower your LDL. Are you on statins? If so how many mg are you taking. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
To read the full report click onto You may have to rub your eyes, because this may be hard to believe! Japanese researchers found a link between LOW cholesterol levels and a heart rhythm disturbance known as atrial fibrillation, or AFIB. • In Japan, cardioembolic strokes are quite common. • These are caused by small blood clots that form in the heart, and they then travel to the veby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
One simple way is to click onto 'Make Forum Read' which is at the top just above the Subject line, it resets the red flags, then the next day you will see the newest replies by the number of new red flags there are. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Ralph, I can relate to your afib burden, its like a switch has been turned on and you are ready for an afib event. The longest duration between events for me has been three months and I was taking a ginger capsule with each meal, but I really can't say for sure if ginger was the cure. For the last three months I have been trialling taking curcumin and ginger, with not so good resultby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I found the below topic in the cardiac arrhythmias archives and thought I should bring it to the attention of the new afibbers on the forum and some of us who haven't read it before, like myself. I have tried it once with success and once without. Although at the time I didn't know if I was doing it right or not, which I wasn't. I would be interested if other afibbers would sby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Anton, Would you let me know if taking turmeric (curcumin) is the culprit for your increase in PACs. I recently increased my intake of curcumin (2gms a day) and have had more frequent afib. I have been looking for other culprits like dehydration as I never suspected curcumin being the cause, but it may be. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
William, Do you mean that taking fish oil left you with 3 strokes? How much did you take?by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi All, In New Zealand it's not that easy to go to your local doctor and request a blood test. I did manage to get a fibrinogen blood test but only after some interrogation as to why. Asking for the tests recommended in the Red Flags to Beat the Odds post are out of the question. Mike, If you drink whisky or any alcohol, drink lots and lots of water with it. Eg. one sip of wine two sips of water. It seems your Afib could be triggered by dehydration. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Gill, judianne, and Jackie for your replies. I have been looking back some earlier posts and one that I am reading now, "fibrinogen test overall" Has some interesting information about lowering fibrinogen and cholesterol. Did you know that taking a bottle of bear 12oz (approx 330ml) a day for a month can reduce fibrinogen by 10%, cholesterol by 27% and LDL by 25%. I undeby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi all, What tests do you do when taking Nattokinase and fish oil. How do you know if you are taking enough of both. Does it thin the blood like warfarin? Is it as effective as the other blood thinners. Should you shop it before an operation? Is there any instruction guide.by colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi srach1943, Do you get Afib now? Has lecithin stopped that? Do you take it daily or only when you get ectopics. What other supplements do you take? Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Ron, I got a US friend to ship me one to New Zealand. I set it up, and I received a message saying not available in your area. But it's working OK. I can save the results to my phone and to the cloud. I can also print the results. I can give access to the files to my Doctor if I want. or anyone for that mater. Hope that helps. Colin PS. Hi John, Try taking one capsule of Ginger Root Extract (NOW Foods - 250 mg) with each meal, you can get it from the the vitamin shop. Just click onto VITAMIN at the top of page. I hope it helps you as it has for me, although I suspect your heart may be too far remodelled for ginger to work well. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Jackie, Over this year I have been getting afib every 6 to 8 weeks no matter what I do or take. Which are lasting 6 to 8 hours, so thought I would try and reduce the duration some. I have reduced taking ginger to just one capsule a day, midday now and am taking 500mgs of curcumin morning and night. It is a very good anti inflationary it also reduces fibrinogen. Hi all, I'm interested to know the different pill in pocket protocols for stopping afib. Is there other options besides flec. Something natural maybe. Thanks Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Jackie, I wish you all the very best for your up coming ablation, you of all people deserve a smooth ride. Will be thinking of you. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM

Is there a simple electrolytes test we can do. It seems to me if we could get that right we could cure most of our Afib issues before they start. Ideally a self test we could perform at home. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi slim78, I suggest you take ginger to help the GERD. Take one capsule with each meal. You can also get it through the vitamin shop. See bottom left tab above. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I think taking vitamin D should improve your cholesterol levels. I am about to have blood tests for cholesterol and vitamin D next week, after taking vitamin D for 12 months. The results will be interesting. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
George, Do you take diltiazem 30 minutes before flec? If so how much of each do you suggest. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Bob, Ginger is a fantastic supplement. Read this from Hans Larsen. I would recommend you get Now Foods, Ginger Root Extract, 250 mg. You can get it through the vitamin shop. The trouble is we don't take enough of it to be effective. We need to take about 3 grams a day. I take 1 gram with my breakfast and one with my dinner, I also take 1gram of curcumin with lunch. Hi, Would someone like to purchase one of these for me and courier it to me in New Zealand. You can PM me. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I to wonder about the amount of supplements we take. When I think about it, we get Afib and the next day we are perfectly ok until the next event. If it was due to an electrolyte imbalance we would surely have Afib until imbalance was corrected. Maybe it does correct and that why Afib stops? The question is, why does our electrolytes go out of balance compared to people who don't get Afiby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
John, I agree with what Jackie has posted but would also suggest taking ginger capsules, one with each meal and one before bed time. Ginger lowers blood pressure, its an anti inflammatory, improves circulation, thins the blood, supports digestive health, and is an antioxidant. Get Now Foods, Ginger Root Extract, 250 mg. You can get it through the vitamin shop. Colinby colindo - AFIBBERS FORUM
