Hi Jackie: I don't mind answering your questions here. Your age; I am 66. I retired a year ago and I should be living a stress-free life, but I am worrier. I know that is part of my problem. But I live alone so afib in the middle of the night is pretty scary. > How long have you had afib? I think my first episode was in 1997 or 8. > How do you manage currently mby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
Gosh, I've leaned such a lot from you guys today. Thank you so much. I feel more calm about ablation and Dr Natale. I did look at the conference proceedings #8 on ablation and was struck by the number of ablutions Dr. Natalie must have done by now if he had done 600 in 2003. More reasons to trust him I feel I'll have more questions when I understand enough to know what I donby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you Rob! Do you have to be in Afib when you see Dr. Natale? How does he know what tissue to cut? Sorry if my question is nonsensical. I really am a beginner about this. Best wishes, Caroleby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM

It looks like a serious read, so I will take my time. But one quick question before I get too excited, can I get vegan versions of all of these supplements? if not, I can't take them. Thank you for all this positive advice about Dr. Natale. When it becomes clear that ablation is my only choice, I will contact him. How long is the recovery period from ablation, typically? I am not sure that I need ablation yet. I have hopes that a change in meds might work, and being more mindful of my diet. I have noticed that chocolate definitely increases pvcs and skipped beats, and it plby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Everyone: I saw reference to the "full strategy protocol" in a post by Shannon. She said that Dr. Natale does ablation on those who have not succeeded in following that protocol. I did a search of the forum on that topic and came up with nothing. Thanks, Caroleby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM

What is the Full Strategy Protocol? Thanks, Caroleby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Everyone: I have just been looking at an article about who should be considered for ablation and it says that it is not recommended for people who have had it for years, like me. Have any of you had successful ablation after having afib for years. I've had mine since around 1997. Thanks, Caroleby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
I see that a lot of people see an EP in Austin. I'd like to find a good one n Houston to avoid the drive there. Any suggestions? I'm relatively new to the forum, but I've had lone afib for about 18 years. It used to occur about once a year, but recently increased to every three months and now it is every week. I've been on Flecainide for years and am wondering if that is why tby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank You, Jackie. I am 66 and the zipline was about 30 feet long and about ten feet off the ground – so not exactly what you probaby envisaged in my story . To get on to it, I had to crouch down to get under a metal bar, and I think the position may have pinched the vagus nerve. I will definitely try this amino acid. I have insomnia, so it sounds like a good supplement for me to try.by CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you Jackie. I will do the searches you mentioned. I need to be better educated about this condition. I'll come back with questions that come up. So glad to have found you all. By the way, I was sure my afib was vagal because it had always begun at night and seemed to be triggered by GERD and my stomach pushing up through my hiatal hernia. but not I am not so sure. My last two episoby CaroleF - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Everyone: New to the forum. I have had LAF for about 18 years. I have about three or four episodes a year with Flecainide 25mg bid. I have been taking this drug almost since I was diagnosed, although I was on Amiodarone for a while. I have been having quite a bit of dizziness and now have PVCs, possibly caused by Flecainide.
