I would guess many factors could be involved surrounding Medicare and the cost. Does he have a Part D plan? Depends on IF it is an Advantage Plan, usually 0.00 cost or a plan that has a reasonable monthly premium. Some pharmacies prefer a 30 day supply vs 90 day as the insurance company reduces their reimbursement, or so I was told, and for a small town family owned pharmacy with great sby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Very interesting. I will have to re-read this, a lot of info to digest in a quick read thru. The calcium affect, I recently, Oct thru early Jan, was popping lots of Tums, extra strength, for a new symptom of seemingly "burping air" from my esophagus region, didn't seem to help. But I did chew many per day during that time frame and wound up with a few afib episodes and even aby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Wondering on a few things, as it seems they don't tell you much and everything I have learned is on my own. Neither the Cardiologist or EP. Thank you very much GeorgeN. I appreciate the reply and I will definitely check out the list and bookmark it for possible future use. I do feel they pressured me into the Implanted Heart Monitor after one visit with the EP after referral from Cardio then he quickly advanced to Pacemaker pressure 2 years ago. I've done lots of reading here and also visited many of the links that have been posted. What do most of the EP's, Cardiologist and especially sufferers of Afib consider to be thresholds to meet before certain treatments? Ablation - paroxsymal, once every 2-3 months only @ night for 2 or so hours? Or worse? Pacemaker - with both Brady and Afib when does one consider this optioby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
