I've recently PM'ed a poster who had an ablation with Natale in San Diego Scripps hospital, and was wondering if anyone else on this forum has had ablations with Dr. Natale in San Diego, or Thousand Oaks Los Robles hospital and would share their experiences of the facilities. Thanks.

Jake, your sustained release Mag is: Elemental Magnesium L-Lactate Dihydrate. (When I googled this I see that Walmart also offers it). I'm steering away from Magnesium Glycinates sinc recent functional medicine testing showed my body glycine levels are high. Do you do well on the Mag Tab SR? Any 'untoward' side effects?

Nancy, this is a belated reply in light that today is your appt, but wanted to add that I've been on Xaelto since 2015 and not had any side effects from it. (I'd not heard the infor about eye concerns with these drugs, and of late, my eyes have been very dry, but I think this is an age/winter home-heat thing).

Many thanks George, on both questions. My conversation with the research person in Austin this morning indicates that the FDA nationwide study might not happen until June or July, so I'm leaning towards going ahead with the regular ablation with Natale this April..

feeling of hardness in heart area - 3 years ago

Hi everyone, For the past few weeks, I get a feeling of tightness or hardness on my sternum /heart area. Not a constant feeling, but usually it comes up daily. All I can think to do is gently rub my sternum area. I wonder: should I take more potassium (supplement-wise, I only have the 99 mg capsules, but I now take 1 at each meal. I also use Lite Salt with 1/2 the sodium and extra potassium.

I agree, it's frustrating for us who take anticoagulants and also want to take anti-inflammatory supplements. And SO many supplements thin the blood: Fish oils, boswellia, C, E, tumeric, ginger, garlic, lipoic acid, reservatrol, apple cider vinegar, etc. etc., etc.

I also appreciate your message challenging my doctor's comment that EP's aren't helpful to folks with long standing afib. I'm looking toward consulting w/ Dr.Natale once I get back on a PPO.

Jeff, I stay away from all the stimulants I can think of, and lately have cut back my supplements (except Mag) to almost nil. You're right. It's hard to play master chemist with our bodies. Fun to try, but not easy and often not smart. I appreciate your input.
