Took MetSuc 50mg at 7:00 AM today,, 1 tbs of ginger paste at 8:00, 300 mg of Flec at 9:00 did acupuncture at 9:15 and nothing happened. Other than trying the same ginger extract that Johan used and staying on Steve's protocol minus the D - that's it until next ECV. Which I won't get until D is in the 30s.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey's logic is warranted. I would take an spO2 reading and temp several times a day. If it's from the ablation you should see stable numbers. If < O2 and > temp then follow your communities local testing guidelines. Also see the protocols for C19 listed in the health forum. Liz, I am 57 with a 4 yr old boy. If you could promise me 80, I'd take it in a heartbeat. You have 23 years on me and that might mean you had 23 more years to form some solid habits more like your ancestors and less what the Standard American Diet (SAD) resembles for my adulthood. Surely, you must be shocked when you see what the kids eat today. Of course some things are hereby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
George, 56 at that time This one - Susan, I've tried every experiment I could think of and it's now down to less D and less calcium.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you Susan, Keto and low carb were both early suspects and I did a few interventions of several weeks of more good carbs and even a little holiday carbs (pizza and gelato in Italy) - no change other than weight gain, higher blood glucose and if too much bread all over inflammation resembling the day after a heavy weight lifting session.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

Thanks Joe. I wouldn't be writing such things if I didn't think they might help others. The important thing is to at least open up and consider the information. The short period I was on a statin, I tolerated well with one exception. It raised my CAC score exponentially and as often the case. Thanks Susan, This is happening in the middle of the night and the activity only needs to be for about 2 minutes to 'distract' the parasympathetic. It's worked several times. I avoid sugar like the plague (and carbs in general) Typically eat less than 20 grams of carbs a day. I have this spO2 ring I wear while sleeping to track quality of sleep O2 levels and heart rate. It's a useful device as it allowed me to show my cardiologist how my AF was likely vagal in nature (from Sept 2019 - ). After seeing the opportunity from the above and when I only had AF attacks once a month, I used the ring to alert me by vibration that my heart had gone above 2 standby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

Steve, Jeff et al, Do you think there is a possibility that making the sudden leap from the amount of D in a Centrum (1000 IU) to 10,000 IU would be more likely to cause AF than to slowly increase it over time? If it turns out D is my issue, I will want to stay in NSR for a while to focus on other 'usual suspects' and already being addressed hsCRP levels coming down no lby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

Thanks everyone. This is a great forum. I am going to do nothing today but try flec and acupunture tomorrow with positive thoughts. As I still have D and its calcium effects as last remaining suspect, not scientifically hopeful but NSR was so nice, I'd like to have it again.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

George N's post is exactly spot on !!! and is what I was doing until I ruled D as a possible AF trigger. On top of what George wrote (what I was doing for last year almost to the letter) as well as other things, I believe the quercetin and zinc should be effective at stopping or inhibiting C19. Great post George! PS - everyone here knows that HCQ and quercetin are both zinc ioby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
George thanks again. Everyone - let's say I get back in NSR - how do I wean off Flec and Metsuc safely? Just keep proportions same and reduce? I have 25mg and 50 metsuc and 150 flecs. I've gotten pretty good at cutting pills in half/by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey thanks - it's nice to have someone that can actually interpret an ECG. Thank you. George - fingers crossed. I had to wait for the MulTaq to wear off, I might try again tomorrow and maybe throw in acupuncture. Steven C - maintaining your regimen (other than D)by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Research that a high fat diet results in less time required on a ventilator. High fat, low carbohydrate, enteral feeding lowers PaCO2 and reduces the period of ventilation in artificially ventilated patients.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
George, I agree with mild ketosis (and probably because that's all I can manage) because I hover around 0.8 - 1.5. The only exception is 30 minutes after a meal on 71 hour or longer fast. I will have eeeked up to the 2s before the meal but after breaking the fast, I'll hit high 4s. As they often say, a little knowledge is dangerous and my insistence of learning about drugs before I take them unnecessarily delayed me taking flecainide the very first time and made the intervention less probable to work. Joe: I can only roughly estimate and Steven may be the expert in regressing my 'natural D level' based on what it took to get to 39 (60 days of 10000 IU) . My thought is below 30 and maybe as low as 20. I will test later and post.
