We drove last August, around 1K + miles. I didn't want to fly with chance I'd go into an episode, I took no medications then or now except Eliquis. One night in hotel on way and two nights prior to Ablation Day & Night @ St. David's plus 3 more nearby nights after then travel home plus extra few leisure nights on way home. 2200 Miles and 11 days later finally home. QuoteGeorgeN From an autoimmune perspective, dairy from genetically A2 casein cows is better than from A1 casein cows. Fermented A2 casein milk products like yogurt & some cheeses are better. Goat and sheep cheeses are better they are generally rich in A2 casein and medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which are easier to digest and less inflammatory than standard cow's milk products, asby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteCarey What is the difference between a touch up ablation w/Watchman placement vs a Re-Do with Watchman placement? When appointment is made within 3 days after the initial ablation? Susan, Sounds great from your Awake Ablation with strep throat too and except first and last 7 minutes being awake. Glad to hear you have such a positive Holter report and continue to improve!by Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuotePixie I had a visit with my primary care provide today. I told her I was wearing a 7 day Vital Connect heart monitor. I showed her the phone I had with me that was uploading the information from the monitor. She had never seen that monitor before. She then brought up the website for the hospital the clinic is affiliated with. It is a major research and teaching hospital and my local cardby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuotePixie I am glad you shared the good news. That is great! I start my monitor in a few weeks, I sure hope I do as well as you did. Hi Pixie I hope you get great results when you wear your monitor and get your results. Plus I hope you don't have any rash or irritation from whatever monitor they send. I think the difference for me was only 7 days vs 30 long days of exposureby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuotePixie Thank you for the update. I am glad the Bardy Cam worked for you. I am goung with the VitalConnect in a few months, but might try the Bardy Cam based on your experience. Not necessary to stop. Also they will probably want a clearance from your cardiologist or EP to proceed prior to surgery day based on patient history and probably the anesthesiologist too cover all bases. If they have name and number they should handle that quickly and easily. I went from my usual 20/20 all my life to much worse with blurriness and colors were dark. QuotePixie Thanks for the additional information, Pixie. I have an Echo scheduled soon, by local provider, on orders from Natale after December TEE. Then the 7 day sent/schedule from Austin in March. I hope all goes with your Monitoring~!!! Please let me know what monitor you go with and how it works for you. Like the old saying goes “Buyer Beware” . . . When it comes to Potassium it should be “Supplement with Caution and Be Very Aware”. It will flush out Sodium and IF one is normal range or more on low end of normal range of Sodium you can go too low with Sodium, quickly as in days, which is also quite dangerous.. Interesting. They added me to a FARAPULSE study in Austin last August for whatever good it does . Haven’t heard anything not been requested to do any tests in regards to the study.by Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Great! I just on a whim bought 2 bags of organic pumpkin seeds at Costco last week because they were on instant savings. I had picked them up for daughter and her family in the past so figured I’d get some for me. But I’m guessing my new to test bag of whole bean Copper Moons Southern Pecan coffee from Sam’s doesn’t quite make the top rated healthy finds list!!! 😊by Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM

QuotePixie I have sensitivity to the patches but not like you have. I expressed that concern to the person that schedules these. He said that Dr.Natale understands the issue with folks who have trouble with a 7 day patch and he can still get the data he needs with fewer days on the monitor. I think that is good news and, hopefully, he can work with your situation. I am leaning toward the Vitby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I’ll be following this post for information. I’m also due for 7 day, first time, thru Dr Natale in March. I developed an adhesive sensitivity after wearing a Holter Monitor for 30 days, twice, Summer of 2021 and Summer of 2022, before being diagnosed with a fib. I get red bumps where the monitor wires/patches go and on my fingers. They multiply and take weeks to go away even with prescriptionby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
12 minutes a day? I’d guess 3 30 minutes or 4 20+ minutes would be better. When I’m fully in exercise mode I’m more like twice a day 7 days a week. I guess it comes down to picking one’s poison.by Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I referred myself. Dr here was never involved in any way. I completed my patient history paperwork, downloadable file plus a few downloads from my patient portal of recent tests and an office visit summary or two. Natale was on a 2-3 week extended summer holiday and upon return reviewed upcoming “one day out of town” patients And I was accepted. They called that same day and I could have had myby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I’d venture to say the closest thing to an “alarm” on the AW would be the Low and High heart rate notifications. These are generated while at rest thus eliminating too many false notifications on High when you are very active or working out. I have my Low rate set to 45. I do have Bradycardia. I haven’t received a notification in a long time. I do have the Heart Watch app and do get notificby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I like my old Fitbit partly out habit. While this Versa 2 is old I had maybe 3 Fitbits prior. I like that I can quickly and immediately see and watch my heart rate in real time with the quick raise of my wrist on FB vs on the Apple Watch pressing the little heart icon and waiting. Maybe there is an “always current” heart rate setting I could add to my AW Face but I haven’t found one nor spent mucby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
I usually charge an hour or so before bedtime around Eliquis taking time. I have an older Apple Watch 7 though. I did test drive the AW 10 several months ago but it didn’t have the SPO2 feature, before you could install software update to add due to the Mossimo legal battle, so I sent it back. Battery life was a tad bit better. I’ve read the newer AW 11 battery is slightly improved over the 10.by Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM

I know how you are feeling, been there done that. In my case, the pre-op phone call, I was en route to Austin and had just pulled into a Buc-ee's parking lot. First call with his PA, as Dr. Natale was still with a patient in the cath lab, then second call about 3 hours later with both Dr. Natale and the PA, we had just pulled into yet a second Buc-ee's parking lot for lunch LOL. Quotegloaming The rationale is that the virus is changing constantly, and not in a great way. Each vaccine is modified to account for the most recent strain, although it's about three to six months after the latest determination. 10 doses of Covid vaccines / boosters in 4 1/2 years seems overly excessive and I can’t think of any other preventative vaccine, booster or annualized “shot” that requires or needs such frequency. Throw in exemption from liabilities of the pharmaceutical companies from any harm done should not have been allowed and those that allowed it were greatly mistaken in their grossly reckless, negligent aby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
Quotegloaming I went from an episode every year or so to an episode every few days prior to my first ablation. Obviously there was progression of a sort. To me, an episode once a month means you're mature and advanced in the paroxysmal stage, but not necessarily half or most of the way through it.....for you, maybe not for me. We're all different that way. It gives me confidence knowiby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
QuoteDaisy Congratulations! And thanks for sharing your story. I woke up with that bandage on my neck after both my ablation and my Watchman--jugular vein I believe. At least they take if off in the hospital. I really had no idea I was at this level / condition with the Afib. I had progressed from once every 3 months or so to about once a month, almost like-clockwork schedule. Weird. Colorby Qwackertoo - AFIBBERS FORUM
