Hello, My ejection fraction went up approximately 5 percent from have a 3 lead pacemaker replacing my 2 lead over 4 months. I was hoping for a better result, but I'm sure any improvement is beneficial. In the test reslult the doctor sent via this thing called mychart, he listed: Right Atrium: The interatrial septum is aneurysmal" Does anyone know how serious this is? Theby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
I'm not a paypal fan. is there an address a check can be sent?by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks. I was referring to something like the Kardia 6L, which I didn't think would do that.by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Frequent self-monitoring, or insisting that you be informed via the monitoring system that comes with your pacemaker, are about all that you have left to ensure you know your overall burden. If there are devices that can separate the upper an lower chambers, that would be great. When I talked with the doc who did my ablation and pacemaker, he blew a gasket when I told him they used to calby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
It's weird. I think that's why the EP told me it was okay to be in persistent afib, BUT i balked and he said he would agree to do another pulse. But now the center I go to is moving from the hospital they've used for years to a university hospital in another city. Go figure.by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks. Great advise asking for all that data. I have an appointment tomorrow with a "regular" cardio dr. It will be interesting to see what he says.by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
I've heard of that and wondered if it could separate the atrial beats from the ventricle beats. My heart beat, even before the ablation (and it was persistent) was normal.by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Having recently visited my cardiologist for my post-op pacemaker replacement, I was told that I’ve been going in and out of afib. The pacemaker I have came a cell phone transmitter, a “Latitude” from Boston Scientific, that sends the data every night. It used to be they would call me when I went into afib. Now I’m told because of my pacemaker, and that it’s controlling my heart beat at 98%by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
There was a Dr. Jonathan V. Wright that had monthly news letter until her retired with in the last year or two. He swore by nattokinase and lumbrokinase and their ability to prevent and dissolve clots. His website is till up. FWIW: here's a link to his discussion on blood clots. scroll down to: Nattokinase, Blood Clots, Varicose Veins scroll down to: Blood Clots,by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for the reply and information. I didn't think, was told, about it filling the vein and restricting blood flow. The EP I am assigned told me there 7 - 12% chance that there is "no anatomy" there, meaning I don't have a vein in that location. At least that is my understanding. Also scaring could hinder the procedure. No idea how I could have scaring there. In 'by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello, Not strictly a AFIB topic, but the last post on the General forum was in November. So hopefully this post doesn't tip apple cart for being in the wrong forum. BTW, I been AFIB free after my Pulse ablation a year ago. My heart as a 100% nerve block from upper to lower therefore I am 100 percent paced - for a few years now. They did a ultrasound on my heart and my EF is dowby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Saywhat - Thanks. I'll look into that Gemtesa. I get my generic eliquis from discount Canada drugs and they have gemtesa for $89 for 30 supply. Have you used it? Good night! mirabegron caused me SO much back pain I had to stop a few days ago. The Dr. upped my dose to 50 mg from 25 last week, besides I didn't get any relief. BTW, not drinking doesn't seem to matter. If I hby acantha - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hello, Wonder if anyone has used this. I've been on it, at 25 mg, for 3 weeks with no results. The urologist Dr told me to up it to 50 mg. When I research the mirabegron, it has a 80 rating, fwiw.... I had a prostate procedure called Euro-lift that has helped with urine flow, but I still wake up every hour to hour and a half. The Dr. said I could to bladder Botox, but good grief,by acantha - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thanks so much. Now 3 weeks out from my ablation and no afib and no any thing. Well, once in a great while a PVC.by acantha - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thanks, Carey. Too bad. I'd like my purchases to help out. Also, Amazon is all over the place with supplies and different manufacturers. Sometimes they have the brand I bought before and then it's gone. I'd really like to find a place that 3rd party tests my supplements. I heard the FDA allows a wide allowance on product strength. Wish I could remember the #.by acantha - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

My cardio clinic recommended a phar in Canada. I get apixaban and some bladder Rx there. WAY cheaperby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello, (for some reason I messed up. I tried to post this last week) 1st, thanks again for all the support through your posts! Apparently, everything the EP did went well. I was told the routinely do all the veins with the pulsed device. I've been in NSR since Monday. There was hardly any swelling in the groin area, but lots of black and blue areas. Wow, even though they shaved that arby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
FibberMcGee, gloaming, & Carey - thank you. It really, really helps - your words of encouragement and how it effected you.by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
cornerbax, Daisy, and gloaming - thank you so very much. Your words are very comforting! re: no stairs. I'll have to learn the one legged drag as we live on a hill and access to the house is only by stairs. I can either walk up the side walk (about 35 feet to the back door) or use the stairs (about 15) to get the main floor. Our basement is unheated with no toilet access. gloaming, ifby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello, This will be my first ablation. He will be doing a pulsed. To say the least, I'm a more than a little nervous. I've read many of your posts and thank you for them (though not addressed to me). This Dr. has roughly 4500 under his belt and been doing them for 20 years. Not sure how many are the pulsed. As I researched the pulsed, through PubMed and this site, it sounds convinby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks. I went back to their site the other day and it was working. Internet = magicby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
I appreciate the input. I have been pretty concerned about exercising, but now, with your comments, I'm got a good idea that's my PA was right - so back being active again. mjamesone, please forgive me, but "early rhythm therapy" is an ablation I take it?by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, thank you! That's great to know. I've kind of cut down on my exercising because I was concerned about damaging my heart. I still do physical stuff like haul wood and chop it as we heat that way in the winter. The PA said I could exercise, but it didn't make sense if my heart wasn't working right. It's nice to know those two are out and about. Again, thankby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hello, After reading many posts here about getting an ablation, I'm wondering how bad it would be to stay in persistent afib if I didn't get an ablation. It would be nice to got to a clinic that's been recommended, but we just can't afford that on social security. My diltizem, and apixaban don't really bother me, unless there is some hidden effect they on the liby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Slempickins, Does the bottle of beetroot say how much K is in the 700 mg? I went to Amazon (US) and it's not there, and Plant Vitals website comes up "404 page not found". I've got an email into them. Like others have said, food is the best source, but hard for me to do.by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Carey. I will do that. Well, with financial constraints, going out-of-area is not realist at this time, but I'll definitely keep it in mind. You know, I never looked at it that way, ie, the bent out of shape doc. That's good.by acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey, Again, thank you! No, I use a VPN as I don't trust what ISP, Tech companies, etc ... do with my data. Do you find that doctors don't get bent-out-of-shape when asked those questions. While I am VERY thankful for most doctors I've seen, I've found some get their features ruffled when asked questions they don't like. I try to be very respectful, but still, oveby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey and Jake - thank you so much! Carey, I read your "How you end up with multiple ablations and still have afib" and Travis' post too. Great, thank you! So my question is: How do I get a great Dr. to do the ablation. I have an appointment with a EP doctor. The earliest is middle of September The clinic I go to doesn't have these specialists, so they have a coupleby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Carey. That is helpful. I read one post here (I think) where the person posting thought it was better to get an ablation rather than taking lots of Rx. They also said that ablations are not the last hope but now becoming more of the first standard of care. I guess that's just a person opinion. They gave me the sotalol to get me out of my afib. From other literature, it seemby acantha - AFIBBERS FORUM
