Thank you, Liz and Jackie, for your condolences. And yes, I now realize that Agent Orange was composed of dioxin and 2,4-D and other chemicals, not glyphosate, but my point is, how can we ever trust companies like Dow Chemical and Monsanto and the EPA, FDA, and our government when they knew the devasting effects of Agent Orange and still used it? Here is just a sampling of what is has done:by Windstar - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
We can argue scientific facts, but until one is personally affected by glyphosate, the reality of the problem will never hit home. I know because my first husband was the victim of Agent Orange (glyphosate). He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. The US navy sent PT boats through the canals, spraying Agent Orange on the foliage along the shores to kill the foliage so the enemy couldnby Windstar - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi Liz, We all have to do what is right for our own health, and if you want to continue to eat GMO and nonorganic food sprayed with Roundup, that is your choice. However, my doctor has told me I must eat organic because of my multiple chemical toxicities. But eating organic, as I said earlier, is becoming very difficult, because of cross-contamination of food from Roundup being sprayed on noby Windstar - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hello Good Friends!! It's been a couple years since I've been on this site, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about the wonderful folks here that helped me in my daily battle with afib for many years. I am forever grateful!! I've been very blessed to be afib-free since my ablation surgery with Dr. Hongo in San Francisco in 2014. I do, howeveby Windstar - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Jackie, Thanks for all your work researching this important topic. I, for one, have been diagnosed by my alternative medicine doctor as having a RoundUp allergy from food I have eaten, and I have also been diagnosed with leaky gut and leaky brain as a result. Though I now eat organic whenever I can, this information in your research has motivated me to be even more diligent. I can pby Windstar - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Travis, Thanks for your help regarding my insomnia. I have been working with a nutrtionist/chiropractor for a couple years now and have tried just about everything out there including prescription meds. I also stopped all my meds and supplements for two weeks a while ago, and that did not work either. I am currently taking 1 mg of sublingual Superior Source melatonin at bedtime and 1/2 tspby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Nancy, A friend of mine from church who is a cardiologist advised me a couple years ago not to go on Amiodarone. He had a female patient on it for just a few months and it resulted in lung problems and death. He said he would never put another patient on it. I was on Sotalol for only a few days and could not tolerate it. It made me dizzy and out of breath. I was on Flecanide for a cby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, It is such good news to hear that my HR will eventually return to near-normal. For now, I think I will just try to endure the current HR rather than taking any more meds, but I have made a note of the Bystolic you recommended and will keep that on hand. The only med I am on now is 15mg of Armour Thyroid every other day; however, I am on so many supplements that it consumes my wholeby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Feb 27 was my one year anniversary for my ablation surgery with Dr. Hongo in San Francisco. I have been afib free this entire year and am ever so grateful. I only wish I had done the ablation sooner as my life was miserable when I would have an attack, which was getting to be every two weeks before my surgery. My arms and legs would become weak, and I could not walk nor stand. I would faint iby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Smackman, I'll add my congratulations as well. You and I had our ablations done on the same day. I too have been afib free this past year and ever so grateful. My HR is still high, usually around 84bpm, and I have some runs of PVC on occasion, but am so delighted to be free of the terrible afib symptoms. When I had an attack, I would be near fainting, and my arms and legs would goby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM

Hi Travis, Welcome! You will find this bulletin board extremely helpful. There are many knowledgeable, caring people here who will assist you in your desire to learn more about afib and the best ways to treat it. It used to be called DFH Magnesium Glycinate Chelate, but just recently changed names due to the need toby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for this important information, Larry. Guess the citric acid is the reason that I can't take Natural Calm. Citric acid is in so many products and supplements that I am really limited in what I can buy. Nancy Mby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Jackie, No scan--just using ART. The more I read about scans, the more I want to stay away from the radiation. I've had too many CT scans already in my life. I'm also leary of MRIs. Dr. Blaylock says to stay away from anything except ultrasound whenever possible, unless there is a life-threatening reason. Nancy Mby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Jackie. I read the two articles and was surprised to find that phytic acid has so many health benefits. I think I'll stop soaking my breakfast grains for awhile and see what happens. I don't take my magnesium until lunch and after anyway, so it shouldn't prevent the digestion of that mineral. If it reduces calcium and iron, then that's great! Thanks, Jackie. I'll look into HistaEze. From what I've read on brain inflammation, the newest supplement of promise is luteolin. Many autistic children are benefitting from it. That's why I wanted to try the NeuroProtek. It may just be that I have to buy the version that has low levels of quercetin. There are also drugs that reduce cytokines in the brain, but I don't waby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Researcher. It is great to be afib free!! I'm so happy to be able to make plans and not have afib interfere with them. As to the pepitas, I used to eat them all the time, and then I found out that they are high in phytic acid (like nuts) unless you eat them between meals or soak and then rehydrate them. But I have gotten too lazy to do this, so I stopped eating them. Here is aby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Josiah, I'm also homozygous for the MAO gene and have issues with histamine. It seems like so many foods contain histamine that it is difficult to get it out of one's diet, so taking a supplement to counteract it seems like a good idea. I think I will send away for the tea that George is trying. I have been doing some research on cytokines and insomnia, and came across some reby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks, Larry, for this information on citric acid. I had no idea why I react so violently to it until reading this article. Who would have thought that the industrial citric acid is actually made from mold feeding on corn syrup glucose! My body is really having a problem with mold right now. I can't eat any nuts, not even tree nuts, because of mold in them. It shuts down my entire ceby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM

Bill, I am a bit confused. Why are you taking Doctor's Best tablets and grinding them up if you can take the Seeking Health powder instead? Is it because the Seeking Health powder contains mag oxide and the Doctor's Best supposedly doesn't? Can we really believe what Doctor's Best is saying? Thanks for your research on this, Bill. I already use many Seeking Health products and am glad to hear they are interested in making a more pure mag gly. Should we all phone the company and encourage them in this? Nancy Mby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks much, Jackie and Bill. I read the "buffered" posts, Jackie, and they were very helpful. I looked at the Seeking Health Mag Gly Powder website and discovered that it contains citric acid. In the past, I have not been able to take products that contain citric acid. I'm not sure if that is still the case as I haven't been tested for it in the last few months, but Iby Windstar - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Everyone, I just reordered Designs for Health Magnesium Glycinate from my nutritonist. When I got home, I noticed it is now called Magnesium Buffered Chelate. Besides what has been discussed, I would highly recommend genetic testing before starting a treatment plan. For about $100, you can go online to 23andme.com and read about their genetic testing. They will mail you a saliva test, and then when you return it, they will post your results, which you can then download.
