Hi Jackie, Dave would like to ask you your opinion of what Dr. Sundaram recommended, namely, taking Magnesium at the SAME time as taking Potassium, rather than at different times. Also, Dave thinks that his sciatica was due to a pinched nerve, and that perhaps when the nerve was not pinched anymore, due to Steve's work on Dave, that maybe this had a positive effect on his heart rhythm.by Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi Jackie, Thank you for your helpful replies! Interestingly, Dr. Svinarich IS very much into holistic treatments, contrasting with Dr. Sundaram, who is of the "la la la I can't heeear you", docs, when it comes to holistic health. Your explanation of how getting rid of pain (sciatica, arthritis) IS connected via hormones, to heart health, was enlightening, and makes sense!by Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
Since my husband Dave had an ablation for a-fib done by Dr. Svinarich, on Nov. 21, 2016, but Dave's insurance (Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield) forced my hubby to change plans to "Pathways", Dr. Svinarich is NOT included to be covered by the new health insurance plan! So, we went to see Dr. Sri Sundaram, another electrophysiologist, in the Denver area. We saw Dr. Sundaram yesterdaby Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
Sam, have you tried these exercises yourself, for sleep apnea? I took a look at your link, and it does cost money. I googled a bit more, and found a youtube video that shows a man doing some exercises that he claims can cure sleep apnea. Here's the youtube link I found: (I sent this link to my husband's email, so he can try them too.) What do you think? Carol cell: 970-531-50by Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
My husband Dave, had (diagnosed) a-fib for about 10 years before we discovered this excellent website, when Hans ran the website, and this website taught us to add supplements which, for about 10 years, did great things--stopping any a-fib episodes quickly, that Dave intermittently had (paroxysmal type of a-fib). The supplements were Magnesium glycinate (now, after his ablation--see below-- Daveby Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for your kind words, Jackie! Oscillo is a great homeopathic remedy! As you said you do, we also take Vitamin D3, daily, too (We began taking it, after I found I was low in my D3 level). A reason to avoid being near anyone who recently had a flu shot, is the "shedding" possibility, done unintentionally by vaccinated folks, onto un-vaccinated folks.by Carol - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I agree with Jackie--I never have had a flu shot. Anyone I know who had a flu shot, shortly thereafter, got the flu! So, Larry & Pamela: here's an alternative (holistic) to flu shots: Instead of flu shots, I take (if I feel a cold or anything coming on) an over-the-counter homeopathic remedy (sub-lingually--that is, under the tongue) called Oscillococcinum (pronounced Oss-Sill-Oby Carol - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Shannon, A few years ago, I too had "an explosion of black floaters", and regular eye docs didn't see the very beginning of a left eye retinal detachment, which was way up in the upper outer quadrant of my left eye. But a great RETINAL SPECIALIST, in the Denver area, DID see it, and he immediately lasered it--the slight "unzipping" shut, preventing a full blown retinalby Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
Shannon, thank you for so quickly correcting my mis-spelling of Dr. Tom Svinarich's name for me! I just got a telephone call (thanks to George N.) from the "other" George, and it was pleasant and helpful! My husband will speak with that "George" too, when they both aren't working. I think George N. may be right, that the "other" George's abalatioby Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
George N.'s friend emailed me, so I want to thank George N. for contacting his friend! I emailed the "other" George, to see if he can speak with my husband, by phone, about his experience being ablated about 10 years ago, by Dr. Tom Svinarich, (ElectroPhysiologist) in the Denver area. Hi George, Thank you for your helpful reply! Yes, please try to contact your friend, who was "ablated" by E.P. Tom Svinarich, M.D., in the Denver area. Ask him to contact me, or, let me know his cell phone & email. Thanks again! Hi George, Thanks for your interesting and helpful reply! Please share names & phone numbers of any a-fib patients in the Denver area, who you know or know of, who are happy with Dr. Tom Svinarich's ablation for their a-fib, or who are pleased with any other EP's ablations, etc., for their a-fib, in the Denver area. Oops. I'll get the doc's name right, yet! It's Dr. Tom Svinarich, I think. (sorry for mis-spellings above)! Carol cell: 970-531-5000by Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
Hi again (last time I posted here, for my husband, was back in 2011), Has anyone in the Denver area, had a cryo balloon ablation for their intermittent--"paroxysmal"-- a-fib, done by E.P. (electro physiologist) Dr. Tom Svinarich, M.D.? If yes, how did you like Dr. Svinarich, (bedside manner, how long he takes in office visits, etc.) and what was your experience like being operatedby Carol - AFIBBERS FORUM
