Thanks so much for all the support and advice. I spoke with my cardiologist and he is going to call Dr. Natale. I asked him if my left appendage works correctly when I am not in afib. He said he did not know the answer and he wanted to speak with Dr. Natale to understand the left appendage better. Will Dr. Natale speak with him? He did suggest having me purchase an Apple Watch 5 to monitorby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Friends, I had my second ablation three years ago in Austin, Texas by Dr. Natale. After Natale looked at my TEE six months after the procedure, he advised me to continue Eloquis. My local cardiologist believes my risk factor of bleeding is higher than stroking and thinks I just need to take an aspirin and monitor my blood pressure. Can someone explain to me the function of the left aby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Tikosyn worked for me for a few years. I was one of the lucky ones that converted on my own after taking the first dose of Tikosyn in the hospital and didn't need a cardioversion. I believe I had to take it three times a day. That was sometimes difficult to remember. I recommend getting an ablation instead of doing the drugs. I did the drug gig for seven years, trying a new one afteby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Forum, Three years ago I had to have my second ablation. I was blessed with 10 years of being free from afib before that. It reconnected in my left appendage and had to have that area ablated. I was told to stay on Eloquis. I had a TEE six months after the second procedure. My local cardiologist thought it looked good. Dr. Natale said he could still see a shadow. Not sure whatby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Just wondering if anyone gets hyper focused on listening to their heart beat in their ear. I think I worry too much and focus on the heart beat.by pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
I have had several TEEs done. My local doctor sedates you and there is no pain at all. I had a TEE at St. David's that went sour. I watched the tech talking on his phone and then I remember waking up with the worst pain in my throat. Obviously the dude did not know what he was doing. My throat was sore for two weeks. He rammed the probe in my throat and drew blood. When I woke up andby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Jackie, So glad you are hanging in there. I was wondering if you are on Eloquis? My first ablation lasted over ten years. I had my second ablation three years ago and had to have the LAA ablated. I was told to stay on Eloquis. My local cardiologist believes that my risk factor is higher for bleeding than stroking and that I should be on an aspirin. I am quite baffled. I sent a TEE aby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Forum, Back from Austin in NSR again! The man, the myth the legend and maestro rocked my heart again! I feel so privilidged to be Dr, Natale 's patient again after 10 years of NSR. My supportive husband, Ken, my guardian angel advocate Shannon, St. David's Medical Center Staff, The Holiday Inn on Fiskville and the people of Austin who I met on my journey to Austin were more tby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Forum, I fly out to Texas on Sunday and I'm hoping to get familiar with the Austin area before my 6:30am arrival time at St. David's Medical Center on Monday for my second ablation With Dr. Natale. I'm curious how I will feel off my 150mg of Topril after my last dose tomorrow? Thanks, Pamelaby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
My dear friend who has periods of afib seems to have more episodes when she is sick with a cold. Does this happen to others?by pamela - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Dear Shannon, Keeping you in my prayers and hoping for a speedy recovery. Yesterday I had a TEE and at first it looked like my clot was gone. When the doc read it again he saw that there was a very tiny piece visible with residue. Not sure if I articulated that correctly. Nurse Curry emailed me and said Dr. Natale said to keep my October 10 ablation appointment. He will do another TEEby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Mike, Your story is similar to mine. I had an ablation nine years ago and went back into afib/flutter a month ago. My first ablation was successful by Dr, Natale. My procedure is in October after I get clearance from a blood clot. You probably are feeling as excited as I am to see Dr. Natale again. Best Regards, Pamelaby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Friends, For the past nine years I have been afib free due to a successful, ablation by Dr. Natale, I was drinking a cup of coffee almost everyday. Most of the time it was decaf. I also, enjoyed Diet Coke and sometimes drank one a day. Since finding out for the past month that I am back in afib 24/7 I have not had caffeinated drinks or alcohol. My next ablation appointment is in Octoby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Alice, My afib recently started up,again in August. I too had an ablation by Dr. Natale in 2007. I immediately called his office to schedule a touch up ablation for October 9. What did you decide on doing? Best Regards, Pamelaby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear JayBros, I have known since August that I was in afib. I don't know if I was in it earlier. Could have been since June. Thanks, Pamby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Afib Friends, September 27' I will have a TEE in Michigan to determine if my clot is gone. At that time my doc wants to cardiovert me. I haven't had a cardioversion for over nine years and it never kept me in NSR for long. The only thing that worked was my ablation by Dr. Natale in 2007. The first cardioversion left me feeling like an elephant stepped on me. Do you think Iby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Jay Bros. Thanks for the very helpful information. I have a reservation at the Holiday Inn for a rate of $99.00 a night! I talked, with nurse Curry tonight. How many nights did you stay in Texas? Thanks, Pamelaby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Jackie, I live in Michigan and I have already booked, flights for my October ablation. I'm still waiting for,a list of hotels. Where did you stay in Austin. I'm guessing we will need to rent a car also. Thanks for any tips, Pamelaby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Jackie!! I am wondering if you are the same Jackie I would see posting quite often 10 years ago on this site. If so I remember how helpful your posts were. Did you have a successful ablation and how long has it lasted? I hought I recall you having perhaps a second ablation after many years of success. Thanks for your kindness. Today I was hoping to be cardioverted but with my TEE they found a blood clot. My topril, was upped to 100mg. I still am feeling good. I don't have symptoms of afib. I was afib free for nine years and just last week I discovered I was back in afib luckily by looking at my heart rate on the treadmill. now I'm awaiting for an appointment with Dr. Natale in November. I don't knowby pamela - AFIBBERS FORUM
Dear Jay, I am so happy for your success. I had a nine year go with no afib after an ablation with D. Natale in Cleveland until three days ago! I am anxiously waiting for a phone call to schedule my second ablation in Texas. I am scheduled for a cardio version this Monday and I am praying for NSR.
