How much magnesium are you taking? Samby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
I live in the UK. Can you tell me who is doing the ablation? Samby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for answering, no problems there. Samby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I' m having serious problems with nocturnal polyuria. I have to use catheters because an enlarged prostate overstretched the bladder. During the day emptying the bladder will mean no urge to void for 4 or 5 hours but after emptying the bladder before bedtime I only get 2 hours - or less - sleep before I wake with a real need to urinate. The amount of urine in the bladder when I use a catheteby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thanks for the replies. I' m looking into everything you've said. Pretty certain I've given everything on EarthClinic over the last 10 - 15 years, but since I'm not completely sure of Apple Cider Vinegar, I'll give this another trial. Samby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Does anyone have knowledge of or experience in using this or a similar medication for BPH? I've tried all the natural treatments with little effect. My prostate continues to grow and I'm having to use urinary catheters. Thanks Samby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Carey - not using an anti-coagulant at present but will be using the same system as Mike. I've forgotten my chad score but it was very low and Prof Jais said I didn't need an anti-coagulant except for the first couple of months after the ablation. Sam P.S. Might see you in Bordeaux, Mike!by stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for the replies! Carey - after episodes two days running (the fourth and fifth episodes since my June 2018 ablation) I started Flecainide 50 mg twice a day and this has kept me in NSR since 17th March. Samby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
I need a second ablation in Bordeaux which I'm hoping I can arrange in the next few months if Covid restrictions and leaving the European Union on 31st December allow. My problem is that there is no way where I live of having a TOE done in the week before the op. Bordeaux will do a CT scan when I get there as a substitute but if it shows a blood clot in the heart they will not be ableby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Like you Mike I had an episode 13 months after the first op. As Carey said I waited to see if it was a one off. 7 months later I had another. 3weeks later another and one a week later quickly followed by two more. I knew then I really needed a second procedure. I wish I'd gone earlier because by now lockdown was just about to start. I asked my cardiologist for a prescription for Flecainidby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks for the replies. Turns out it doesn't matter: at least for the present. What I would need, not unreasonably, is a Covid 19 test shortly before the op. Since I can't get that in this country at present I'm stuck. So it's carry on with the Flecainide which is keeping me in NSR but also makes me feel constantly unwell.by stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
I contacted Bordeaux about a follow up Ablation and mentioned responses I had to an earlier post that a TEE would not be needed if I was on an anti-coagulant for 2 - 3 months. Bordeaux response was that if no TEE then a cat scan would be needed.by stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
PC - could we have a simple list of the negatives of the flu vaccine? Thanks Samby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
No problem; just keeps the great posts coming! Samby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I had never had the flu but accepted the vaccine twice when i reached 60. I stopped having it when I was 62 and haven't had it - or the flu - in the 12 years since, My Dad only had the vaccine once and that was the only year he ever had the flu! My Mother never had the flu or the vaccine throughout her 94 years. The reason I thought I'd ask members for their thoughts is that thby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM

Lockdown came at the worst time for me - just as it was obvious I needed a second Bordeaux ablation. With things starting to ease I' m going to find out when it could be done. One of the biggest problems I had, because of where I live, was coordinating all the things that have to be done in the week leading up to the operation. The trickiest of these was the TEE. I had to get a relaby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Where did you get that idea? All I've read, including posts here, show that 80% of Bordeaux patients get long lasting results from the first ablation and the remaining 20% only need one more.by stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
There are 3 natural methods for stopping GERD. I) Lie on your left side. Look at a diagram of the abdominal organs and you will see why acid is less likely to flow out of the stomach in this position. I haven't tried this because many posters find left lying is an AFIB trigger. 2) Raise the top of the bed. Lying like this means the acid would have to flow uphill. Thanks, Hans but, and I'm probably being a bit thick here, I don't quite understand what you mean. Do you mean just put Sam after the message? (Which is what I have been doing).by stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Well spotted, Greg. It would seem they have indeed removed Bioperine. Perhaps in response to comments on this Forum? From Sam who still hasn't found a way to change Author! It can't be done at Control Certer.by stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Supplements that help the majority of people don't help everyone. I found L-Carnitine, Taurine & Q10 all caused me fast beat/ PAC problems. The only way to be sure what works for you is introduce them one at a time and wait to see what the effect is before adding another one. I know it's hard to be patient in this way but it will enable you to work out the regimen that works forby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
I started Lugol's Iodine five months ago, convinced by the research I did of its importance for Afib and general health. Most authorities say side effects, apart from a few days due to Bromide detox, are extremely rare, but this doesn't seem to be the case. At least four of the fairly small number who have posted on the Forum have had side effects, including myself. I have felt likeby stranger - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
The key ingredient in this is L-arginine which has been discussed many times on the Forum. Some have used it with benefit; others, including myself, found it made things worse. Samby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
Could you tell us more about this mineral water, Murray. What's it called; who makes it etc. Thanks Samby stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
From Sam Murry, My apologies if I'm misunderstanding your post but you seem to be saying that zeltzer water is high in magnesium. As far as I'm aware it doesn't contain any.by stranger - AFIBBERS FORUM
