I'll try to do some intervals while on today's ride and see if I can get above 133.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
I looked at some training data I have and before the ablation, my HR would easily go up to 180s and 190s. Since the ablation, I basically flat line at 133, up hills, into the wind, doesn't matter. (no beta or calcium blockers) The only time it goes up is when I stop riding and I may see 144 for 5-8 minutes. If this doesn't change competitive cycling (at any level) is out the windowby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Or do I need to go down to Austin? Thanks I am in 9th week of blankingby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Carey - you wrote ". It has no effect on the ultimate outcome." Wouldn't more time in NSR keep the heart from learning non-nsr rhythms? I'm in week 9 and still seeing mixed results but almost always higher rates regardless of rhythm.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Congrats on a successful 2nd procedure. See if they can get you off the heart healthy diet as soon as possible. My TGs doubled while I was there (but 6 days) - hopefully you won't have an extended stay.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
This is a serious subject with serious consequences. AFAIK many of the deaths seen in CAST were also due to lack of a beta or calcium channel blocker. I could be wrong about that as I am going from memory and my layman understanding of the paper. The deaths weren't immediate if I recall correctly - so just because you took it once or for weeks safely doesn't guarantee future results.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Yes. I am getting much better recordings and stronger signal with wet and next to heart. But the algorithm is nuts because this top reading is 'irregular' while the bottom one is 'regular'. I even measured them out on a print with calipers and they are all equal on the top except the very last one bottom row. I'll try those tips - thanks.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Looks like haywire to me. What am I missing? Thanks (ps Week 7 of blanking period)by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
You'll hear both sides, based on my CAC score alone cardiologist would not prescribe flec but would prescribe a statin. LOL With < 5% stenosis, no heart attack history, passing stress and echo, (cardi knew all this too) my EP local and Dr. N had no issue with prescribing flec. I just wish it worked as well as many of you have success with.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

Trace choline in egg whites. So you're good. Other than beef liver and eggs - most foods are rounding errors for choline. Same here George - my SNPs indicated it could be an issue. I used prometheus and rhonda patrick.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
The n=1 nightmare of trying to figure out what else might be behind AF. For many years, I didn't eat eggs - just now and then. Then began eating them daily (1 or 2). After some time, developed AF. Eggs have a good amount of choline. At this time I have a need to help do something to help my ATP and phosphagen cycle by adding choline as a supplement (CDP Choline) on days when I amby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Just noticed that Dr. N's google reviews are no longer up. This may be a result of this effort. Hopefully, Google is cleaning the bogus reviews and will retain the good ones (the people that actually are reviewing his services) . Thanks all.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

Thanks Carey - OK - so bad idea. Here are 2 ekgs. They've been oddball lately. I can't make sense of them because some wonky looking ones say NSR and then a minute later they look more organized and show "irregular" I can't tell the difference between these two but one reports 'regular heartbeat' while the other shows irregular.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
NSR has been rarer and sporadic the last 2 weeks for me on a consistent dose of flecainide 150mg BID and diltiazem 180mg (1x). (of course always eliquis 5mg BID) Would getting off of flecainide for a few days and reintroducing it make it more effective? I don't see the sense in taking a drug that isn't doing anything (or much of anything). I think body builders do the same (cycleby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
Not to mention potential patients. If I had to guess, Dr. Natale is only doing this at this point because he loves his work and loves helping others as well as educating other EPs. Balance that against troll BS, the lure of travel, retirement and living life exactly as he wants. We should do as much as we can to unload the BS side of the scale. I want him there and still practicing for my oby NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM
I believe and research shows that 30-40 years of eating excess sugar and refined carbs will lead to diabetes which is well documented to cause all sorts of havoc with the heart. Not only that after a couple of years off sugar, when I try a little bit I am overwhelmed with how sweet (burns the tongue sweet sugar is) Steamed broccoli is the right amount of sweet. Lani, I have the most depressing list of magnesium purchases over the last year at Amazon - carbonate, citrate, taurate, hydroxide, glycinate and malate. None of them prevented an ablation. I now take magnesium malate.by NotLyingAboutMyAfib - AFIBBERS FORUM

Sorry all - I was trying to help. The thing is that for every clotting factor that says "clot" there is another that says "don't clot" so these work in harmony because without both sides we'd either bleed to death from a paper cut or clot up our arteries into sludge the very first time we suffered an insult to the endothelium. I had these football shaped flecs that almost always caught in my throat. Ran out of those and now have some easy to swallow ones. Flec never worked for me pre-ablation. Liz - these reviews are not from patients of Dr. Natales, they are from internet trolls that go from one issue to another and try to disrupt the lives of others. Susan - it will take some time for google to respond - we need brute force from geographically diverse IPs. It may take more to get google to pull them down, like Dr. N or his representative to take ownership. Google can also put gates on the reviewing process as they've done for others when unfairly attacked. This is the best we can do for now.
