Jackie could you point me to a link or links where you discuss your thyroid/iodine experiences at some length? It would do me good to read about your success. Success stories associated with hypothyroidism are not all that plentiful. Thanks, Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
I apologize for always asking for a link or reference to some long past post or thread. I don't see to do very well using the Search function. This time I'm asking about the equipment and protocol for self testing serum potassium levels. Thanks in advance, Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Could someone remind me which side to sleep on in order to minimize the risk of an Afib episode. I haven't had many nocturnal episodes, but I experienced one last night which I'd prefer not to repeat. Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thanks Jackie. No more Heart Burn was the report I was thinking about, but I'll look at them all. Josiahby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
You'd think I could find my way around this website by now but the opposite seems to be true. Could someone please point me to Jackie's compilation of information about GERD?by Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Hi Liz, Is this the same Dr.David Brownstein who advocates fairly aggressive Iodine supplementation in treating hypothyroidism? Josiahby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thanks Jackie. After following this forum for a couple of years I'd be very remiss if I wasn't aware of the shortcomings of the RBC magnesium test. I'd like to get another EXATEST but I'm a bit tight in the liquid assets department right now. Josiahby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Anyone know anything about SpectraCell micro nutrient testing?by Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
George, How did you determine that your magnesium requirement had dropped? Also what is your theory about why your magnesium requirement dropped? Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Having followed this forum for some time I'm well acquainted with the ExaTest for intracellular electrolytes. One of the Face Book magnesium advocacy groups touts a test that analyses hair samples and is called HTMA . Does anyone know whether this test gives as accurate a picture of one's magnesium reserves as the ExaTest?by Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thank you very much Jackie. That looks very useful. With month after month of steady NSR and virtually no ectopics, I shifted away from this forum and switched over to TYP (track your plaque) and more recently after diagnosing myself with hypothyroidism to a number of Face Book Thyroid groups which have been very helpful. I did have one 30 minute Afib episode recently. Just my body reminding mby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
This is an inquiry for Jackie. In rereading several old threads about Waller Water, you commented about important benefits of the bicarbonate ion in reducing tissue acidity. This whole question about the health implications of tissue acidity has never come into focus for me, could you suggest some links that would help me understand the subject better. Many thanks, Josiahby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Randy, Inadequate labs (T4 and TSH) kept me from being diagnosed for years. I finally paid for a complete thyroid panel including RT3 and I learned that I was severely hypothyroid. Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
After having a very minor stroke 18 months ago, I reluctantly went back on Coumadin. Would it be possible to start taking 100 mg of Nattokinase while continuing to take Coumadin? Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
I found the following link interesting Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Thank you Jackie. The reason I'm asking is because I've been recently diagnosed with adrenal/thyroid insufficiency and my blood sodium has been chronically below range for a long time. I recently read somewhere that excess magnesium caused lower sodium readings and I'm wondering if I should lower my magnesium supplementation. I should really get another Exatest to see where I standby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
This question is primarily intended for George N. Has anyone who has taken the Exatest ever had an intracellular magnesium reading that was above range. In short can you overdose on magnesium?by Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Would someone please remind me how to access the compendium of success stories. Thanksby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
I haven't found that a very low carb diet has increased my ectopic load and I haven't had an afib episode since I switch to low carb. Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Life Extension has interesting report on lowering homocysteine. See . The report mentions a number of cases where high homocysteine was dramatically reduced using large doses of Trimethylglycine. Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Mike, Like you I suffer from both Afib and bradycardia. I had a pacemaker implanted three years ago. At about the same time I started seriously following the supplement regimens recommended on this website. Whether it was the pacemaker or the supplements or a combination of both is unclear, but the result was a very marked reduction in Afib episodes which continues to this day. I've neverby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
I take 100 mcg K2(MK7) and it certainly affects my INR. If I miss my daily K2 pill my INR goes from its normal 2.5 up to 3.0. Josiahby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
I encountered this in a recent post by Dr. William Davis (Track Your Plaque) and I was wondering if anyone following this forum had tried it? The most successful and practically accessible method of substantially augmenting parasympathetic tone is the HeartMath approach, in which a personal computer-based heart rate monitor (via an earlobe clip sensor) is used (http://www.heartmath.com/downloby Josiah - AFIBBERS FORUM
Many recent postings have discussed the benefits raising our internal alkalinity. Accordingly I'm drinking as much Waller Water as my bowels will tolerate. However, two other supplements I'm taking would seem to be working against my alkalinity goals. I currently take about 5 grams of vitamin C in the course of a day and I'm also taking Betaine HCL to raise my stomach acids. Howby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
I'd been wondering along the same lines whether drinking Waller water ( I drink it undiluted) wasn't aggravating a low stomach acid condition which I assume I have given my age. How could one test Hans' hypothesis without some elaborate measurement protocol ? I'd be willing to try. Josiahby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Thank you Jackie, I'll look into it further in light of your references. I certainly would like for it to be all that it's cracked up to be. Josiahby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Despite the fact that a majority people I respect in the health and wellness world enthusiastically support the concept of Earthing, and that includes many contributors to this forum, I still find myself questioning the validity. I'm not questioning the fact that the stray EMFs that invade our bodies do have some physiological effect on the body, rather I'm questioning whether proper grby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
Jackie, I think this is one of the best compendiums you've ever published. So much valuable information, logically organized . . .it deserves a high level bookmark in my computer. Thanks so much Josiahby Josiah - GENERAL HEALTH FORUM
