402 Message

Recently I started getting a 402 message IF I click on anything other than the 2 message forums.

I don't get this type of message on the dozens upon dozens of other websites I visit on a daily basis.

Is it just me? I did get a new designed webpage for here this weekend but when I tried to go further back to the 402 message.

I get no 402 messages. I found if I have my VPN turned in, I will get 402 messages often. Try checking your settings.j

That's a very odd error to receive. It's not really even a standard HTTP error. What do you mean by anything other than the two message forums? Give me an example of what you can click that produces it?

IF I click the afibbers Resources, Database or Afib 101.

Says my Subscription is Expired. "402 Please Renew Your Subscription" with a capitol T and some wavy lines logo. I clicked on it once and takes me to something you'd find for a website development page/subscription. Very Strange.

I just tried on my phone too but currently logged out on phone.

Will attempt to check VPN etc etc after my dental appt.

Usually I've gotten on other websites a 405 error on rare occasion but never a 402.

Looked this up real quick before I head out the door to appt.

HTTP Status Code 402, also known as "Payment Required," is a standard response code in the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). It is part of the HTTP/1.1 protocol defined by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in the RFC 7231[1] specification.
Description

The HTTP 402 status code indicates that the client must make a payment to access the requested resource.[2] It is typically used in situations where the server requires payment before granting access to the content or service. This code serves as a reminder that financial transaction or authorization is needed to proceed further.

The 402 status code is considered non-standard and was introduced to extend the HTTP protocol's capabilities beyond the standard set of status codes. It provides a clear indication to the client that they need to take action to complete the payment process before they can access the requested resource.

IF I click the afibbers Resources, Database or Afib 101.

Yes, here is an example with Afib 101: [learn.afibbers.org]

Clicked on at the bottom of this page: [www.afibbers.org]
In fact, most of the links at the bottom of the main page fail (wonder if getting rid of the other afibber URLs could be the cause?).

Yep. That is it. I still had several old tabs opened to pertinent topics that I've gone back and looked
at over the last few weeks since the dot org consolidation but this past week I tried looking up something new and kept getting this. Laptop, phone, iPad so finally decided to ask IF it was just me~!

Even thru a couple of "restarts" on my laptop when I refresh my open tabs from previous session they still appear but to get to something new from the main links it is a no go.

Oh, I see what the issue is. I'll have that taken care of shortly. Thanks for letting me know!

Now getting a 404 on one. And page not published on another. Didn't know what stage at addressing the issue you are currently at so thought I'd just update with "just now" clicks.

Yes, thanks, I'm aware. The subscription to Tilda, which the site uses for everything other than the forum, expired without me being made aware. (we've been going through some transitions recently and stuff falls through the cracks). I renewed it and that's when the 402 changed to 404. I think the issue is just server caches not updating yet and will clear once they do, probably by tomorrow. If not, I'll investigate further and get our Tilda guru involved if necessary.

At the bottom of the afibbers.org page, the links for the topics under the Research heading are broken.

Research
Research Report on LAF
Resources/links
Conference Proceedings

The Conference Proceedings link is: [www.afibbers.org]
This is what comes up for Research Report on LAF [www.afibbers.org]
This is what comes up for Resources/links [afibbers.org]

George, I'm not seeing what's broken. The pages have the new appearance and layout, but it's the same content.

At the bottom of the afibbers.org main page
Learn Research Help

Afibber's Forum Research Report on LAF Contact Us
    Database Resources/links
Medical / Drug Glossary Conference Proceedings
    Recommended Books
    Current Issue
    Past Issues
    Afib Journeys
    Surveys
    Videos
    AFIB 101

I've done this on several different browsers and get the same result:

The ones listed under Research return
Not Found [CFN #0005]
For example, Conference Proceedings, gives a URL [www.afibbers.org] and returns the CFN #0005 message

I only use the links at the top of the main page. Database isn't working but Learn & Research are.
