Successful Ablation

I had my ablation on 11/7. So far so good. No bouts of AFib post ablation. Last night I slept better than I have in a very long time. I’ve not seen the EPs notes yet to hear the details of the procedure. All I know is I was in the cath lab about 2 hours. Fingers crossed

Paula, this is wonderful news. Congratulations. I don't recall the details of your case, especially if you had reservations, but my sincere hope is that you are done....no touchups required, and that you enjoy a good life, with plenty of decent sleep. Just please don't jump off the high dive if you get a couple of runs of AF or PACs in the next four weeks. It's to be expected. Normal. My take-home instructions warned of this, and it happened. I have been free of AF for 20 months now.

Gloaming. No I won’t freak out if I get some bouts of AFib in the next few weeks. I was warned it could happen and to go take Flecainide and relax. I just remember my ablation for AFlutter 4 years ago. I had no “flip flops” after that. But then of course I started getting AFib bouts which they warned would happen eventually I’m keeping my fingers crossed though that it will be smooth sailing.

There seems to be some confusion here that I’m a girl, uhhh, nope!! Last time I checked I’m still an old GUY!! 😂
I’m 4 days post ablation. So far no flip flops. But I’m really tired with a sore groin. Ill gladly go with that for now 😁

Well Paul Pokey, you don't know what you're missing!
Anyway, so glad all is going great for you, and very much hoping it stays that way!

In my defense (cough), I just had cataract surgery and me eyes be a bit watery. Hard to see clearly. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Is fatigue after ablation a common after affect? I’m 5 days post and I have NO energy. I just want to rest or sleep. Too tired to do anything.

It can be for some and was for me: stress beforehand, anesthesia, people poking around inside your heart with a fire stick--that can do it!

It took me about one month to recover from my first ablation, despite I felt really fine while leaving the hospital, except for a headache consecutive to the GA.
The next five days I felt miserable, barely able to walk and left breathless by the smallest effort. I had no real pain, but I was so weak I felt as if I was 20 years older than the week before.

It seems so different. My last ablation I was exhausted, this last one, minus the first three to five days, I have felt awesome! I've just had to listen to my body because some days I still feel rough and other days not. I am about two weeks post.
