What side effects are there from stopping Multaq?

After an eventful weekend I ended up going to the ER and was admitted on Monday for PACs and PVCs. This caused bradycardia with my heart rate dropping to 30bpm for a 24 hour period. We broke up my diltiazem 120mg cd x2 instead of 240 mg x1, discontinued Cardizem, discontinued Multaq, and added propafenone 225mg x2.

I was wiped out the first day, but I haven't slept since Tuesday. Is this a side effect from stopping the multaq? I can't think of anything else that might cause this and Dr google is doesn't seem to want to talk about it. Anyone know or maybe have some experience with stopping Multaq?

I'm just going by my own experience here, but there 'could be' some of what you suspect. However, my money is on being wiped out due to the stress of having your routine smashed, dealing with noisy hospital ERs, dealing with people who keep asking you to confirm or to repeat basic and novel information about your circumstances and medical history, and generally feeling unwell. That would wipe out the very best of us inside of 36 hours.

That was some of it for sure, I am leaning towards the doubling of the ditalizem 480 mg. I don't understand the interruption in sleep pattern and feeling anxious I have right now.

I didn’t experience anything when I stopped Multaq. I stopped it once before my ablation and again 2 months after my ablation and didn’t notice anything except slightly better digestion.

I called the doctors office and they seem to agree that it shouldn't be problem. I guess I will wait for the appointment tomorrow and see what they have to say in person. Maybe I will hit the point I pass out later today.

But if they did raise your total daily dose to 480, that would be my prime suspect. That's a pretty hefty dose.

In the hospital they increased it to 480, then dropped it to 120 x2. Then added the propafenone 225mg x2. I just think my system is all out of sorts with all the fast changes and doesn't know which end is up. Hopefully it will reset tonight and get back to normal. To much too fast is my next guess.
