Another Pericarditis Question

After my last awful EP Study, I had a bad case of Pericarditis. My doctor recommended Colchicine and Ibuprofen for a month. I recently stopped the Colchicine at his recommendation and the pain is now back, almost to the initial severity. I am now back on the colchicine. The doctor made it sound like no big deal and sometimes the pain persists, but it feels like a big deal. Has anyone had post-procedure pericarditis that persisted? I am questioning if I should have been taken off so soon or if I should just be taking it for 3-6 months. Does anyone else have experience with it post procedure?
