If you scroll down and read the full paper, the methods section explains it. Basically, they did an EP study followed by a PVI. The EP study provided voltage mapping.

In my case, you can easily see it with a standard ECG. I have very small P waves, indicating low voltages in my atria. No surprise after 6 ablations.
