I was reviewing the 2024 benefits for the insurance plan I am on. I was most interested in the telehealth benefits because I wanted to have coverage for this with my Austin EP. I know that telehealth is what I need because I live out of area. I had no problem with this coverage last year. In reviewing the wording for virtual visits this year it states this can not be used for chronic conditions. I am reaching out to see how you would interpret “chronic condition” as it relates to AFIB. I will be calling my insurance company, but wanted to do a little prep work prior to the call. It would also be interesting to know if anyone else has reviewed their coverage for this service for 2024 and found a change.
