This 'fact checked' article has at least one problem, and that is that the description of the procedure has ablation destroying the source of the unwanted signal. Not so. Ablation 'isolates' the area of infiltration by damming or 'stockading' the location where the signal enters the atrium via the pulmonary vein os.
I can see, though, that if people become isolated, anxious, too self-absorbed (ahem!), and simply run down socially due to the strain of maintaining healthy relationships, they will eventually succumb to other disorders and diseases, not least of which would be dementia.
