Recent study comparing LAAO versus anticoagulation

Interesting boost for LAAO procedure effectiveness.

That was a large study and those are very impressive results. The risk of death was reduced by almost 50%, and the risk of stroke was reduced by about 35%. That's big. Huge, actually.

I didn't read the full paper but the quality of the journal suggests the study was well done. I think that's going to have an effect on the thinking of doctors, insurance companies, and government health plans.
