Wow! That is encouraging news. I hope they bust it all open inside of about 3/4 years with durable and near-complete repairs. Even if most people only got a 70% restoration of heart function, that would be a boon to a great many sufferers.

I've read an article where they are experimenting with injecting stem cells into the heart so your body creates a new AV node and the results to date are good.

Interesting stuff. I have long believed that the cure for afib will come from gene therapy or biologics of some sort. It won't be drugs or surgical. I wouldn't count on anything reaching the human sphere within 3-4 years, but 10-15 might be possible.

Yes, there's a lot to look forward to.

Not sure if this is appropriate but about 3 months ago I started wearing a patch called X39. It is a patch worn 12 hours per day. It uses patented phototherapy using your body's heat to elevate a peptide that activates stem cells.
