Persistent afib
September 20, 2021 03:04PM
Hi.
I have been in persistent afib with rare symptoms for 1 year. Ablations have been recommended and are my next step. Can anyone recommend EPs in San Diego?
Since I'm not symptomatic I am afraid of the slight chance of complications or poor results of an ablation. Has anyone had an ablation when they were asymptomatic and regretted having it done? Or does anyone regret NOT having it done when they were asymptomatic?
Thanks.
Neal

Hi Neal, welcome to the forum. I found your post added to an old thread about someone else, so I made it into a new thread all its own. This is an interesting and very important question.

Hi Neal,

Can't answer your question, but IF you decide to have an ablation, I would highly recommend Dr. Andrea Natale This is his main location , in Austin, but he does ablations at Scripps 1 or 2 days a month. [tcainstitute.com] Here is the announcement of him joining the Scripps team [www.scripps.org] He would be your best bet for not having complications, in my opinion.
