Well had my ablation this morning

Hi all. Decided to go ahead with the cryo ablation in the end.
Against some sound and good advice in Afibbers.
I appreciate the advice you gave Carey and others. But I went for it
It bloody hurt tbh. Went down at 9.20 back in my room about 11 ish
The ep said it was a text book procedure so fingers crossed.
I was given fentanyl and it still hurt. Didn’t feel antthinf from the groin area
What did surprise me was a youn cardiologist started the ablation then
Dr shamil Yusuf took over and did the freeze bit. Is this normal?
Anyway cheers all on here for all the advice and help.

But one question, when time and energy permit: Did they not want to keep you overnight in the hospital? That was the drill for both of my ablations. . . .

Len the chest issue could be a bit of pericarditis. I got in 2012 and 2021. If it is ask your EP office if you can take ibuprofen for a few days. Usually a yes. Or could just be the ablation tubes etc. all the best to you!

Hi. Not sure. I rested for about 5 hours they kept checking my blood pressure and the ep came round for a chat and said I’m good to go home after checking my groin
