On Fri 8/6 i had a left atrial flutter ablation in Austin by Dr Andrea Natale. It was under 2 hrs as my pvi and right flutter were found to be durable. He did find electrical activity in my LAA and Cornary Sinus so both were ablated. Thus im on eliquis. The protocol is for me to wear a 7 day monitor at 6 months and this determines the next step. Touchup? Or TEE evaluation then perhaps a Watchman which id want. Post ablation ive been vg. I had zero adverse effects. Groin bleed nor bruising, Peracarditis etc. the only thing i have is a few daily HR jumps from say 75 to 95. They last 10 seconds to a few mins then revert back. Somedays its zero. Some is 6-8 times. Idk what they are as its either mid am or evening. Being active during the day they really dont happen. Other than that no flutter no afib etc. my experience there was fantastic. Top notch staff at every position: nurses anesthesiologist check in prep people after care etc. dr natale saw me twice after ablation then Sat am prior to discharge: saying “stop taking your pulse”! Go home and drive your Porsche
