Prepping for a 2nd ECV - suggestions please

Prepping for a 2nd ECV - suggestions please
April 15, 2020 02:36PM
I am trying to get my soil prepped for 2nd ECV because if it fails, I am headed to Austin.

Hoping this one sticks and would be interested in any tips.

My thoughts on labs needed and : levels desired prior to 2nd ECV - any more ?

Vitamin D : back to natural levels (for me maybe about 35?)
Calcium : in range to lower range
Electrolytes : in range
hsCRP : in range or lower (been on CPAP for 8 months now)
TSH : (been marginally high 4.7 but Hashimotos ruled out)
Rest of thyroid panel : still in range
Fasting insulin and glucose : low

Lastly, begin taking MutTaq about 10-14 days before ECV.

Thank you for any help.

I thought all elective proceedures have been postponed, my ECV has been until July.

Depends on location, hospital, etc. Not all elective procedures nationwide have been postponed.

I had no problem getting one at a specialized 'heart hospital' with less than a weeks notice. I was actually a little disappointed with how fast because I wanted to have most MulTaq saturation going into it after switching from Flecainide (3 day pause) then MulTaq.

Don't recall you mentioning magnesium. Some, like Steve, react negatively to it, however it has helped others. It is sometimes called "natures calcium channel blocker." If it were me, I'd add magnesium of whatever form to bowel tolerance. I'd also add potassium citrate, to keep potassium levels optimal. As Carey has pointed out, a bolus of potassium will get urinated out quickly. My solution is to put 2 tsp of K citrate powder in a liter of water and consume it over the day. This is about 4 g of K.

I "think" I've seen a reduction of PIP flec conversion times when I've taken magnesium and potassium at the same time as the flec. Of course there is no way to really tell. Also, my need to use flec is (thankfully) infrequent, so I don't have a ton of samples.

Thanks George. I've never seen an effect yet with magnesium and have taken and not taken it (and different types) since this began. Maybe when d is lower it might have an effect.
